I think I'm finally going to change my layout banner at my icon comm, too. I'd put another Doctor Who one up or anything other than SPN but, really, SPN is the only fandom I'm SUPER SUPER into right now and I kind of want a Ruby banner. I feel kind of like I'm oddly betraying Sam and Dean and/or Jared and Jensen if I don't have them on my main banner and together. I KNOW, IT'S WEIRD. I'm talking myself through this weird neurosis, little by little.

Who remembers the Five Things meme? Really popular a little over a year ago? The one that I actually did really well in following through on?
Well, since I'm flying all over the western seaboard on Thursday I thought it might be nice to have some things to occupy my time. Thus:
You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my comments section.(examples: "5 Times John Winchester Nearly Got Arrested", or "5 Other Lives Sarah Connor Ever Imagined Herself Living"). Then, in a separate post, I'll post the answers to all your Top 5 ideas, according to me. Serious or fun!
And of course, generally these things turn into fic rather than just lists so throw some ideas at me and I'll try and get something back to you.

Even if you're waiting to see the s3 premiere tonight live please consider dling a copy from Itunes just so the number reflect how many fans love this show. You don't have to watch it or have it ruin the experience of watching it live but it's a good way to support the show. Give it a moment of thought.
I HAVE seen it with the help of a Fcuker because I won't get to see it tonight but I'm going to wait to post my reactions and thinky review thing with caps, whenever I finally get the damn thing dled. I'll just say I liked it. Can anyone direct me to the episode 1 promo stills?
As for other shows I've watched recently I liked Pushing Daisies but I don't know if I see it lasting. It was cute and colourful but I don't know if that'll translate in the long-term. I LOVED Aliens in America and have since I dled the screener months ago. I thought Scott Patterson as the replacement dad might have been weird but I think it worked out alright. Still a little odd, though.
Gossip Girls is picking up steam for me. I really liked the last episode but I don't have much to say about WHY I liked it. It's not as colourful as I thought it would be (film-wise). Reaper didn't do anything for me this week and I don't know how much longer I'll tune in. Another episode, maybe. It's not as quick, not as witty, not as hook-y as I thought it would be. I watched America's Next Top Model last night and loved it, as usual. I think I'm rooting for Sali... Salicia? Whatever her name is. I like her. And someone else, but I don't remember who.
I've dled the Bionic Woman episode from last night but haven't watched it yet. I was surprised when I liked it last week so I'll give it another couple tries, see where it goes.
At least with me not able to watch SPN I can watch The Office!
AND OH OH! Did anyone else hear of the possibilities of a Serenity sequel?! HERE! |

I need a beta or betas for two short fics. One is my remix fic which is due Saturday (today!) so that is a priority. The other is a sequel/second part/continuation/whatever to the birthday fic I wrote for Jared's birthday and not as time sensitive although I'd like to post it soon-ish. Both are wickedly short, less than 1500 words each. The remix is Sam/Dean probably R-ish and the other is a PG-13 Jared/Jensen.
It's my first time doing remix so I'd like to get some feedback on that one before I submit it.
I have google docs so if you leave your email address I can send it off to you that way and you can indicate corrections right in the document. Just pick a colour and paint it. I prefer indication of corrections to be made instead of them just being made so I can see what needs to be changed and why and sometimes I'd adamant about something being a certain way, so I'm stubborn. Other than that I'm pretty flexible.

Yeah, you! Have you checked out Sweet Charity yet? There's only about 24-ish hours left to bid on any of the fun, wonderful things up for grabs by so many fandom people.
I have fic and graphics up for grabs that are still both fairly reasonable although it seems as though bidding is picking up quite a bit in these last hours so get over there quick! I'm going for 20$ for fic and 7$ for graphics. My offers:
One fic of at least 1000 words of your choosing, either original or from an existing fic/verse I have started. Ever wanted a sequel to a fic when you thought there would never be one? This is your chance. If you want something original, prompts (more than one) or a general direction is really appreciated. Sam/Dean or Jared/Jensen only, please. No kink, BDSM, abuse, non-con. Other details are negotiable.
10 icons from one of the fandoms indicated, although that number is flexible. You provide the pictures (as HQ as possible), the more the better. Something can probably be arranged if a banner is preferred but I can't guarantee anything as big as a wallpaper.

Anyone ever notice how Jared sometimes does this thing when he raises his eyebrows and it like- lifts all of his hair and makes it shift like a hairpiece? He raises his eyebrows super high and then that massive forehead of his lifts his entire hairline up by about a foot or something stupid. It's ten kinds of awesome but every time he does it I keep expecting his whole entire head of thick, bushy hair to fall off or fly away or something. |
