Subject:	Gundam Wing: 10 years old

In honor of it: Eternal Flame, a Trowa and Cathrine fanfic written by yours truly, circa 1999.

When I wrote fanfic, this was the series I wrote the most for. The characters and how they related with each other had so much potential, and the stories for them came so easily.

'Eternal Flame' is a favorite of the fics I've written. The images I wished to convey came out well in ths fic, and I believe it properly summed up the Trowa-Cathrine relationship with just the right touch of ambiguity surrounding them. While I have issues with the writing style and grammatical errors (as always with my fiction, fan or original), this is one of the few fics where the sentiments intended were truly, surely captured.

I even had a Sailormoon-Gundam Wing crossover that, to this day, I believe feasible. I just can't keep up with the epic proportion it demands. :P

Yay! The friendly neighborhood DVD pirates expanded their collection! I managed to get the following:

Do not wank about pirated goods with me on this journal. I am in an area where pirated goods outnumber the legitimate ones and would probably solve my country's debt problems if they weren't busy smashing the merchendise (Isn't that right, Tetora? ;D). I've been chasing after 'Audition' for awhile now. While I'm impressed by the visuals and plot, their horror is not my cup of tea. I'm into horror that messes with people's psyche, not their body parts.

I also watched Yankee!Grudge a few days ago. I'll say it again: It succeeded in everything Yankee!Ring failed in.

However, the general premise of the adaptation seemed to be -

"Hello! Welcome to Grudge Real Estates! That little house has scared so many of our Japanese clients, so we decided to give it to silly expatriates who can't read the contract! Do you know a Foreigner who deserves to die? Contact Grudge Real Estates today! Give 'em a home!"

The Superfriends is now showing on Cartoon Network, everyday from 11-11:30pm. The Justice League is a wonderful improvement on them, but I appreciate the Superfriends camp.

A few observations:
-Wonder Woman MIGHT be a drag queen, or played by a man in the Superfriends (HOLY THICK MASCARA, DIANA!)
-Green Lantern's ass is the most defined of the male superfriends
-Look how they state the obvious.
-How in the world did Aquaman, Batman and Robin learn to fly?
-And just how did the Wonder Twins survive through the most grueling matches if they need those precious fifteen seconds to announce "Wonder twin power!" "I will be a camel!" "I will be a body of water!"
-What is Monkey for?
-Is the physics behind Particle Man correct?

The problem with sharing your hobbies - is knowing that around the corner, lurks a fanboy. The type who will go around trying to master being a jedi, or a vulcan. The type who will probably be locked in his basement cataloguing his hentai video games. The type who will be content to live off instant ramen and egg and rice just to get the next comic book issue.

Well, that stuff is minor (save for the basement hentai) - a fanboy is usually marked by their "OMG, LET ME SHOW MY L33T skillz!" And their looong tirades over technical matters and how YOU ARE NOT A GAMER BECAUSE YOU ARE MERELY FAN, NOT SOMEONE WHO COLLECTS THE CHEAT CODES FOR IT. Aiyyyeee, watch me pull my hair out!

And for whatever reason, these fanboys keep tailing me. *bangs head against the wall*

The first one who did tried to court me with the line "Please be my Pikachu." (IT BURNS FOR FAK SAKE)

And recently...playstation fanatic whose way of courting me is "Oooh, you're a girl gamer, wanna go on a date?!"

Sadly, he's a family friend so I must play nice.

Khursten pats me on the shoulder, and suggests I donate my eggs to their egg bank for bishounen and anime characters. At the rate I attract fanboys...I think I'll save my eggs for Tony Leung.
