Wow, JournalFen has a weird aspect I hadn't considered.

Over on fandom_wank, someone was, you know, being wanky. In her LJ. And it was the particular kind of silliness I find really lame, where the person talks about how you are retarded, and only she knows how RIGHT SHE IS blah blah blah. And then she shows up in the fandom_wank post, telling them to remove the link to her journal, because she's underage.

And then on her personal JF journal, she laughs - OH HOW SHE LAUGHS!!!!!!! HA HA HA!!!!!! - that people thought she was serious. And they're all jerks.

Sometimes I feel like people in fandom are huge assholes. Not even interesting assholes.

Just. Holy shit, you're both a prick, and kind of weirdly dull.

PS: in general, I tend to think that women who go around spouting complete horseshit about how they TELL IT LIKE IT IS and could GIVE A FUCK what you think about them and are totally not behaving so vilely for the attention, NO SIR are lame and should be kicked out of the sisterhood.

Being a dick doesn't make you cool. Unless, you know, you're a brilliant Beat novelist who's also an alcoholic-- but you're not, of course. You're just being a bitch about nonsense things like your incest fiction. feeling THRILLED by the attention you get when you yell and are grouchy in public. Mmmmm, attention.

PPS: I saw a HORRID fanmix over on LJ today that totally upset me. It was something like "SAM AND DEAN ZOMG SO HOT: MUSIC TO COMMIT INCEST TO."
