    Gossip Girl, Chuck/Nate, AU
This was me fooling around last night, and I started thinking about how I used to be able to come up with fic ideas so easily, and then thought of what sort of ideas I would have come up with when I was in high school for something else.

So, basically, it's that Bart Bass is, like, Satan or a demon or something, and it's from Nate's POV, and, well, this is the...teaser?...or whatever that I wrote up last night.

Nate knew before Chuck did. )

I love how I can go from barely posting to posting, like, five times a day....

I got all ready to bike over to my apartment (about 2.5 miles away), had to search around for a few things in my room, first, and then decided to head out at 1pm (~15 minutes ago). The rain finally started. I was hesitating most of the morning because I didn't want to get caught in the rain, and just as I decide to leave...it's there. At least showers in Florida never last that long.

I don't know why I'm always so hesitant to ride my bike--is it that I never rode outside of a neighborhood or park in pgh? Is it the knowledge that Florida drivers hate everyone? The fact I'm out of shape?

I have ridden places down here already. I went to the Ulta all by myself, which was probably about 2 miles away from here. AND I was even raising the sunset, so I managed to do that in something like ten minutes, not even sure which streets I'd end up taking.

There's just some weird worry on my part that I can't explain. Hopefully I'll manage to get rid of it soon-ish. Especially if I never end up getting my license this summer (2.5 miles = nothing on a bike, but, like, forty minute walk).

    Relay for Life
Relay for Life is a charity event that my sorority, and most of the other organizations at my school, participate in every year. Relay is one of the most well known events that the American Cancer Foundation puts on and it happens all over the country. It's an overnight event, where teams have at least one person walking around a track at all times, representing "the fact that cancer never sleeps."

Below is the link that will take you to my personal donation page. All of the money donated will go to Relay for Life and help fund research, advocacy, education, etc. for and about cancer.

Please support this cause! Every little bit helps!

I got tagged for this, but I'm not gonna tag other people, just because I'm being lazy ^.^

People who have been tagged must write their answer on their blogs and replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves. Tag 8 people. Those who are tagged cannot refuse. These 8 people must state who they were tagged by. You cannot tag the person who tagged you.

    2. What is your most guilty pleasure?
I don't know if I really have one, I'm pretty open about even the most dorky, horrible obsessions of mine. Maybe, like, I love reading those awful entertainment magazines like US and stuff which are just all gossip.

    3. What's your favorite drink at Starbucks (or Coffee Bean I GUESS)
Shaken Passion Iced Tea Lemonade (Sweetened), sometimes with a shot of the melon syrup

    4. Are you confused as to what lies ahead of you?
Hell yeah. And what I hate is that at least some people can go off of their majors, like "Oh, I'm a psychology major, I could be a therapist, or go to grad school for psychology," but both my majors are pretty open-ended.

    5. What was the last book you read for pleasure and would you recommend it?
Er...probably some comic TPB. I've been bombarded with homework related reading for over a semester, now.

    6. Favourite Sandwich and side.
I like to cook turkey lunch meat and cheddar cheese in a pan (with Pam, of course), and then eat it on a roll with tomato.

    7. If a person you like doesn't feel the same way, would you continue to wait for them to change their feelings?
I normally just move on. I have a very short attention span when it comes to people.

    8. If a person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
    See above.

    9. Is there anything that made you unhappy recently?
TONS of things, right now it's this Lipsynch debacle, but also the fact I have a huge meeting Monday night and a horrific test on Tuesday.

    10. What do you want most in life?
Money and dachshunds. Oh, and I guess adventure.

    11. (changed from original) Which Teletubby do you hate the most?
I've only ever heard the name of that one with the purse, so I don't really know anything about any of them.

    12. If you find out that your best friend is going out with your boy friend / girl friend, how would you react?
I'm seriously question whether they were my actual best friend, and come to the conclusion that not only are they not, that they're obviously not worth my time.

    13. Who is currently the most important person to you?
Person...? Er....I'm not big on people.

    14. What kind of person do you think you are?
Well, today I got described as "really cool" which was somewhat flattering. I think I'm unique, with lots of depths, and intelligent, and pretty bitchy/sarcastic.

    15. What made you laugh recently?
I've been re-watching Dirty Sexy Money, which I always find amusing.

    16. Which fictional character could you most see yourself marrying?
I'm unsure whether this question means who I'd want to marry, who WOULD marry me, or who I would have the best marriage with...? I've never really thought about anyone in terms of "marriage," I really only think about anything having to do with marriage when I talk about my Perfect Wedding.

    17. Would you give your all in a relationship?
    I tend to.

    18. Do you have a motto? If yes, which one.
Sanity is a cozy lie (Susan Sontag) or, more and more lately, I've been digging "I don't want to die slowly" (Rob Dougan)

    19. What type of friends do you like?
People who aren't overly sensitive, but can still know when things are important enough to be sensitive about.

    20. Do you have a favorite song?
I really have, like, ten favorite songs of all time, and then others depending on the month. Maybe Our Lady Peace's "Not Enough" or Placebo's version of "Running Up That Hill."

    Election Stuff:
So, assuming that both Hilary and Obama are full of shit (which they are), who do you guys think you're going to vote for?

Is your vote in any way motivated by race/gender?

If you say "no," are you 100% sure you're voting strictly on their policy/personality/nothing to do with their physical bodies?

Do you feel that voting for one of the candidates because they're female or black would be a viable option? Do you think that it would help either group in politics or outside of politics?

I personally feel that there is some truth to the idea that Hillary hasn't gotten as much favorable attention to the fact she's female as she would have if she was running against a white male.

    Your feelings?

    SUPERNATURAL!!!!
    1:57 pm
I was looking at the IMDB message board for The Virgin Suicides and someone asked people for their "Top Three Most Depressing Movies."

    So, here's what I put:
    1. Gattaca
    2. Requiem for a Dream
    3. The Pillow Book

What do you guys think are the three most depressing ones?

So, I went to see Jumper. The script was lame, the fight scenes were pretty awesome, the concept was cool (even if they explain nothing).

I went with a group including one of the girl's boyfriend's little brother (yeah, I know, complicated), who is a teenager. On the way back, he started up a conversation about who's cooler, Superman or Batman. I eventually got on the topic of Iron Man, and JD and I were talking about how awesome that movie will be. Not only did the kid not know who Iron Man was, but he also said that he had seen the preview and the movie looked "lame." Okay, so, he is not allowed to talk about any superheroes. Srsly, I'm not saying you have to know his history, but Tony Stark/Iron Man should be one of the superheroes that you've at least heard of.

On another note, I went to Panhel Exec on Thursday and Dance Marathon Exec earlier today, and it was such a relief to be part of an executive board that gave a damn about getting everyone's opinions. So different than the hell-on-earth that is NCM's Exec.

    My schedule for next week:
Probably a meeting or two on Monday, possibly a trip to the bank.
Tuesday: Panhel Exec midday, WWW internship class, G11 meeting (while NCM Open Recruitment is going on)
Wednesday: WWW Reception for Jamaica Kincaid
Thursday: Panhel midday, WWW Master Class and Reading with Jamaica Kincaid, Supernatural (I may have to duck out of Kincaid's reading and hope no one notices...)
Friday: Dance Marathon Exec, get on bus and leave for cabins where G11+ are having a Greek Leadership Retreat.
Saturday: Return from Greek Leadership Retreat in the evening, go to UCF's Dance Marathon
    Sunday: NCM Exec, NCM Chapter

This is, of course, not counting regular classes, homework, etc.

    GAH.

    Yay, Sheppard backstory! )

To show how senselessly paranoid I can be: I have a biohazard bag I've been meaning to decorate with (it's red and black, totally fits into my room's theme) and a bottle of water fell on top of it just now. And I was seriously considering not drinking from it after that.

::sigh:: Seriously, this level of paranoia cannot be healthy. I'm supposed to be a hugely sensible person, right? I wonder if I can blame it on the tumor? ::thoughtful::

Rewatching season four of the 4400. Do you think it would be safe to say that Shawn, in one way or another, "denied" Jordan three times in the season?

Does anyone else feel like this season of Stargate: Atlantis feels really cliche?
