It's official. I'm just a slave to my Muse... the bitch. :P Fandom: Stargate: SG-1 Title: Customary Practices Genre: GEN -- Subtle humour, veiled social commentary... hopefully fun all around. Timeline: Set early in the show, before Carter was promoted to Major. Rating: PG ( Because some concepts truly are universal... ) P.S. Unlike my last fic, I'm not only pleased with how this one turned out, I'm ecstatic. It worked out even better than I'd hoped! Go me! :D |

Well. The Calgary Flames lost tonight's game and didn't win the Stanley Cup. They've got another chance on Monday, but... who knows, at this rate. :/ In the meantime, I saw one of my favorite episodes of seaQuest earlier this afternoon. It's one of the few episodes I remember from way-back-when. And in watching it, I began to wonder what those poor folks in the sunken mini-sub were thinking during all that time they spent stuck in a sinkhole, running out of air. So I wrote this little snippet, which ended up taking me a few hours as it made me rack my brain trying to remember my lapsed French. (It's been six years since I've used my bilingualism. I'm a tad rusty! ::wink::) ( Missing Scene from 'Bad Water' ) |

Saw something on the Discovery Channel that, combined with something I'd read earlier today, sparked an idea for a Stargate fic. I'm not entrely sure of all the details as yet, but it'll be a crossover with Highlander at least, and maybe Forever Knight as well. (Not too sure about the last one, may just make subtle inferences to it. I like stories with hidden nods to other fandoms.) It is, however, mainly a Stargate fic -- set sometime pre-"Meridian". Oh, and may become slashy at a later date, although for now I'm working on a GEN principle. There's not much more here than the initial set-up, and not even the full thing of that. I just wanted to get the factual information I'd learned down first, and I'll build the story from there. ( Daniel makes Jack's eyes glaze over, and Jack makes dinner... ) EDIT: I've figured out where I want this sucker to go now, and it's staying GEN. Still crossing over with Highlander, but only Methos -- it's mainly a Stargate fic. And while Jack will be taking a central role, it will not become another "Jack and Methos Show". Daniel and the rest of SG-1 will get plenty of showing. This I promise you. ::pinky swears:: |

Morning, folks! Look what I found while cleaning out the hard-drive... It's kinda weird and, uh, hokie but I like it. ::shrugs:: Title: Bird's Eye View -- Cascade Fandom: The Sentinel Rating: R, m/m SLASH Pairing: Jim/Blair, Panther/Wolf - SLASH Summary: A little warbler finds a new perch and some interesting viewing in the concrete forest of Cas-cade. Size: 22K Notes: I first wrote this story in 2002. It was/is intended as the first of a Trilogy; one which spans several fandoms. “Bird’s Eye View -- Seacouver” comes next, followed by “Bird’s Eye View -- Cheyenne”. So, that’s Sentinel to Highlander to Stargate. Only thing is, I never got around to writing more than a few paragraphs in the HL or SG-1 versions. Hence, this story has never been posted anywhere... making it only sorta new. :) ( Tales the little birdie never told... ) |

This is just an experiment. I wanted to see if I could get a feel for the character. That's about it. No salient points, really. PG-rated, short, shipper-neutral if anything. Not posted anywhere else because I think it's crap. ( Introspection Sucks By Moonbeam ) WEATHER UPDATE: It's currently minus fifty-freakin'-two outside! That's it! I'm not leaving this house for anything! |

Okay, I'm here. Now what? Why I've got all the more room to blather, now don't I? Oh well. I'll just have to clutter another corner of cyberspace with my peanut gallery commentary and fanfic postings. Blame |
