6:10 pm	I'm easy for charity (public to Est members) No, not a person. Fund raising, that kind of thing. Or maybe I'm just willing to do all I can to help out a friend. I think I'll stick with that one. I was at an event for City Harvest - a great charity that collects unused food from restaurants to help the homeless and others in need. My good friend Eric Ripert - who is an amazing chef and I can't recommend his restaurant, Le Bernadis enough if you're in New York - was there and he always puts up a dinner for up to twenty guests cooked in the person's home. The bidding lagged for a while, so he asked me to volunteer to be his sous chef for the dinner. I said yes and the bidding went up - I was quite surprised at how much. So far, so good. He even raised $20,000 more than he did last year - for a total of $220,000. His plans were to cook only one dinner. He's a busy man and has a family as well. I'm busy enough as well. But then? Eric offered to cook another if the bidder would match the @220,000 - with me included again. I don't mind. And yes, we got the second bid. I'm really pleased. I'm happy to give up a couple of evenings for a cause like this. Looking forward to it. Who knows? I may even provide some entertainment that isn't cooking. 1:30 am	Flattered (public to Est members) I'm getting up there in years. Feeling pretty decent about myself and my life. I've never been one to obsess over looks, or the new young actors coming up who are better looking than I am (better actors, that I sometimes worry about), because what can you do? We all get older and we are all attractive to some and unattractive to others. But I have to say, I'm very, very flattered to have been included in People's Sexiest Men issue. 12:56 am	Putting Dreams Aside - Backstory (takes place in 1995 - just after his divorce from Cindy Crawford) The house has sold. For some reason, even though the divorce was inevitable, this feels like the true ending of things. No more waking up with the sun spilling across their faces in the bedroom. No more making plans for which room will be the nursery - and doesn't that hurt more than he's ever thought it would? That's really what hurts the most. It might not have been her intention - Richard's pretty sure it wasn't - but he feels used. Like he was being kept around as a sperm donor, because he knows Cindy wants children, and as much as she's said she wants them with him, she's not in love with him any more. She's in love with a woman, and as much as she claims to still care for him, that isn't enough. He knows it isn't, and it hurts to lose Cindy, but what hurts even more is putting aside the dream of becoming a father. Richard hopes it's just temporary, but right now he can't even imagine trusting someone else enough to let them into his life again, let alone trust them enough to have children. Playing a gynaecologist had its advantages. That was as much as he could really say in front of the cast but it was fun, really, seeing how much he could tease her. 12:40 pm	Backstory - Richard and Liv's second time (takes place during filming of Dr T And The Women) It's been a few days since Richard and Livvie played for the first time. He'd enjoyed it, but they've been very busy filming since. Today, though, they've finished early, and Richard finds Livvie before she heads to her dressing room. "Would you be free for dinner tonight?" Richard asks, smiling at her. "Perhaps at the club? Maybe without any panties or bra?" he reaches a hand inside her shirt, cupping a breast. "You know you can stop me if you don't want me touching you," for as much as he will dominate her if she wants it, if she doesn't, he will move back and be the platonic friend. Also he won't do more than these touches in public. "I'm going to want to know more about your kinks, too, beyond submission." 12:55 am	Richard and Tom Welling meet at the club The club isn’t terribly crowded when Tom enters but then, it’s Monday evening and that’s usually one of the quieter days. It’s still better than being alone at home. Kevin’s busy with work and Thomas is at Mark’s. Sure, he could have accompanied his husband but he wants to give Thomas and Mark time alone. It doesn’t happen that often anyway. Making his way to the bar, he notices a man sitting there and it only takes seconds to recognize him. Richard Gere. Tom slides onto the barstool next to the famous actor and orders a beer, wondering if the other man is interested in some conversation. Or more than that if he swings that way. It isn't a date, just that he and Liv had finished filming at the same time and he'd offered to be company for her, she has said before that she was feeling lonely. "You miss Joaquin?" he smiles. "I still miss Cindy sometimes..." She nods as she thought about Joaquin. "Yeah there were things that him and I shared that I don't know if I'll ever find again." she said shrugging as she took a sip of her merlot. 1:08 am	Private journal entry I'm starting to feel an itch I haven't in a very long time. The itch to go down hard for someone - not necessarily to be taken down hard, though I'm not sure right now that I'd go down any other way at this point, but that is totally something that would depend on the person I was with. I haven't got to the point where I'm willing to use the club Doms - not that there's anything wrong with that, I just prefer a bit more connection to the person than one I'd pay to dominate me, and also the time I tried that before, I didn't really get down as far as I wanted to go, I didn't feel that trust... I need that connection, not necessarily in a relationship sense to be able to get there. I wonder if I could get there with a woman? I've never tried, never really wanted to, but it might be fun to try. Then again, I'm not sure that there's a woman in the club capable of taking me down. There's plenty of men who could, if they were interested... even some I'd be willing to go down for. Still, I'd need to talk and negotiate a lot before I got into the scene. 12:40 am	Richard and Julianne Moore's second date (takes place a couple weeks after their first scene) It's been a few weeks since Richard and Julianne had met for coffee that had turned into public sex. Not, Richard thinks, that that's exactly uncommon at the Establishment. And he definitely wants it to happen again, he likes the idea of introducing Julianne to kink, or at least helping her get some experience as he thinks she's a little past the introduction stage. Enough to understand the terminology of a play date, as that's what she'd texted him with the proposition of this morning. As it had happened, today Richard is free - well, he was after the morning meeting that the text had arrived in the middle of and it had made the dull meeting much more interesting, at least for Richard. He'd texted back a yes, and a time, 12.30, and it is now 12.22 by his watch, and he's sitting at the Establishment bar, drinking water. 1:50 am	Richard and Julianne Moore catch up and have coffee. Well, that's how it starts... (players only, backdated to December 5) It hadn't been the scene that Richard had been witness to the other day that had led him to call Julianne to meet for coffee. After all, Richard is in a relationship and also starting something intriguing with Alex - at least he hopes it's just the start. He's been meaning to catch up with her for ages - it's been a while since they worked on the movie. The scene just gave him the push. He is half-watching the door so he will be able to rise when she comes in. For tonight, it took Juli a bit to figure out what to wear. She is meeting up again with Richard, who's really just a good friend. But they are also meeting at the club. In the end, she decided to go with sexy underwear - instead of none - tight black leatherpants and a tight green shirt. Sexy, but not too sexy. "Have I mentioned how beautiful you are tonight?" he asks Diane, looking over her. The lavender of her dress brings out her eyes and she looks just amazing. Of course, he might be biased. But he doesn't care. He lifts her hand and kisses her wrist, just above the bracelet he'd given her earlier. He'd planned on the collar for tonight but it hadn't come into the store yet. He's not that disappointed, he gets to give her that in private, later. And he had bought the cuff-style bracelet so he could put something on to claim her that she could wear in public. She leans into him, looking up at him and making a slight face. "Tell me about it. And all the questions about Abigail? God...that one reporter had some nerve asking if you were going to take responsibility after all these years. I could have smacked him...thank god you were holding my hand." 12:16 am	Richard Finds Diane Gone (backdated to August 2001) They've finished filming, but Richard knows Diane hasn't left yet. He goes to her room, determined to tell her his feelings. She's been avoiding him except for filming, when she couldn't get away with it and Adrian had even said how well the tension was being played, which was good as the last scenes had been the very difficult ones. Richard knocks on Diane's door, and is surprised to find it unlocked. He opens it and goes in. The room is stripped. No sheets on the bed, all the personal touches Diane had given it over the months just gone. And Richard knows. Knows in his heart. That's what Diane is, just gone. And he curses his timing yet again. He won't see her again for six years. (Comment on this)
