Recent news is finally compelling me to follow through on my vague intention to double-post between here and LJ, and use my JF account, what I paid for and everything. And so, here I am, double-posting this utterly fascinating information!
****
I joined the YMCA this weekend, and I'm still all thrilled by the novelty of it. I was really not getting enough exercise, and I've been feeling it -- not just in tighter clothes, but in a general "bleah" physical state and lack of energy. Naturally, this got even worse when the weather started to prevent me from taking my bicycle out. So this seemed like a good way to keep me active through the winter months. It's not far away, but I wish it wasn't so very hilly between the YMCA and my house -- in warm months, I could ride my bicycle there, go swimming, and ride home!
I haven't gone swimming yet, because I don't have a swimsuit that currently fits me. :/
A lot of the machines have TVs attached to them now, so I also had the idea that I could combine my TV appointments with workout appointments -- watch Supernatural while on the treadmill, for instance. Or, if that proves too complicated, I can also load up my iPod with Old Who and continue my watching-in-order project combined with the exercising project. Things to keep me from getting bored.
Krista, do you have a family YMCA membership? When you and Tyler come to visit, maybe we could go swimming! Maybe. The "rules" for letting kids swim seemed oddly draconian, but the whole reason I found out about this YMCA was that I went to a kids' party there, and surely not all the child guests swimming at the party were previously vetted and tested?

I keep having this vague intention of putting stuff up on this journal -- why not start now, with fic?
Title: Three Parties (1/1) Author: nam_jai Fandom: Doctor Who Characters: hand!Ten, alt!Sarah Jane, Rose Tyler, Pete Tyler Rating: PG Word count: 3,979 Spoilers: New Who S4, and if you squint really hard, Old Who S23 Summary: "Before a mad scientist goes mad, there's probably a time when he's only partially mad. Many, many thanks to my beta readers, persiflage_1 and elliptic_eye!
