a bit of this, a bit of that....
So it's looks as if it'll be another Saturday spent on the couch. *sighs* Joining in w/ the shoulder is the left wrst (WTF?? it started hurting when I woke up on Thursday for some reason, and it's not that I'm sleeping on that side) and a headache. At least the PT said yesterday that if I'm not better soon, she's going to send me back to the doctor. I am trying not to be a 'demanding' patient, and I know last Friday (at least during the day) I felt so good, but... I'm tired of this. Tired of being able to write a page or two and then having to stop because of the pain. Tired of not having my Friday night RP's anymore because I can't spend that much time typing. Tired of feeling out of touch w/ people. Tired of going out and moving around and such. Grrrr.
I want sushi, dammit. >.< Found a very good sushi place a few miles away - they give the BIGGEST amount of fish in their rolls that I've ever seen (at least here in the States). Isabeau - they also have the soy wraps there (for an extra charge, like everywhere else) and will gladly do whatever veggie roll you ask of them. Dammit, but I don't have anyone to go w/ me today for the rolls. I truly need a margarita and sushi buddy. Thought maybe I could charm J into it, but it's her mother's birthday today. I really do need more friends. D&H are out because H just had a little girl the other day. Ah well.
Need to do some torrenting on Akeboshi. Like his anime songs and wouldn't you know it, I've NOTHING in my thelinkup account. Nothing's been sent over. I keep telling them that, and they say it's taking a few weeks to move all the files. Well, if nothing's there next week, they get a nasty email from me demanding a refund.
The one good thing about the shoulder is I'm not driving much so not spending much on gas (especially now since the class is over). Used to have a 'friend' who managed to piss me and others off a couple of years ago, bacck when the price of gas in the US started to go up. As a non-US residence (and she never will be, thank the gods), she was full of much sneering over what she saw as our 'whining' about where to find the extra money and told us all to use public transportation, and that it was our fault that our cities had none suitable enough to get us to and from work (in a nutshell). Well, reading the international news articles anymore, I wonder if she's still sneering because guess what? Everyone's paying more now. Don't think she ever saw the connection that when the US started paying more, it would be a domino effect. A lot of lifestyle changes for people in the future. Gods, to think of being able to tell the 'kids' that I remember when I could pay a buck for gas.... I'm so glad I have a small apartment and a non-gas guzzling car.
My internet browser has been all sorts of whacky lately, so I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox. A bit bummed that my addon (foxheh or whatever) won't work w/ it, but glad it's not 'stalling' out on me so much now. One question - usually I use the URL bar drop down to go to my most commonly visited sites. Well, on this new version, it pretty much lists everything in my bookmarks area, not the sites I've visited or typed in most recently. I've tried clearing the cache/private data, a bunch of other things, and nada. I don't like hitting the down arrow and getting a list of sites I haven't visted in weeks! How do I fix it?
