Tom Strong is an amazing comic. I almost wish that it was longer than 36 issues, but I have the feeling that if guest authors had kept doing the series, I wouldn't love it as much. |

Sooo uhhh... I got hit by a car on Saturday while riding my bike home from musical practice. Nothing too bad, I think. Well, it has been my knee, which I have pain meds and what look like Icy Hot patches for, but today it was my neck as well. I went to the doctor and I think he said it probably is from me being hit, although I didn't hit my back or anything (I fell on my hands and knees).
And that is my update. Now to go back to The Prisoner. |

I leave in a week and I haven't finished Xenoglossia OR caught up on GoOnger yet. Sounds like I have something to do tomorrow...
In Xenoglossia, (spoiler no one cares about because no one's going to watch the show other than me) Mami's killed. By an exploding robot. And Ami and Mami were about the same age as everyone else. It's so weird when Yayoi calls Ami 'senpai'. Yayoi looks about 16-ish, with Ami at about 10-ish (pedobait lulz. I love you, gaming industry).
I guess this is what happens when you take a game where you train a girl to be an idol and give the anime rights to Sunrise.
And for Kiva ramblings:
I'm so glad that I know that my OTP is confirmed, or I would have been really worried with Otoya getting the shit beat out of him. WTF Jirou. Riki's Otoya impression was awesome, though. And Mio's Queen?!
In conclusion: NEED MOAR. And damnit, PLEASE explain some of the current plot points before introducing more. My brain is swimming as it is. |

I went and got some books out of the YA section of the library last week, hoping to find stuff I could recommend to future students/find out what my students are reading. Well, I got out The Clique by Lisi Harrison. It's the first in the series with the argyle and plaid covers, if you've seen those anywhere. ( And this is where I stopped. )
I was able to read along about the missed trip to the spa and stuff because my brain put them somewhere around 16-17 years old. But NO. These characters are headed off to SEVENTH GRADE. She also texts "BEAUTY IS PAIN :)" to one of her friends who doesn't want to get her eyebrows waxed. Ugh.

ETA: I almost forgot. People from the country are people too. And they usually don't go meeting important people for the first time wearing overalls. Or even own overalls from the Gap, FFS. Work clothes do not come from the Gap! |
