...so tired... so behind on errands...
Woke up and went to work this morning with a sore mouth -- I think I might have a fever blister *inside* my mouth, because I'm having pain from inside surface of my cheek, at the corner of jaw. Needless to say, this has made eating anything today... interesting.
Also, work is busy busy, so I'm not getting much writing done. I have a story due April 26th, and three more that I'd like to get done *sometime* before summer comes around and I get jossed by new canon.
I'm also brining a brisket for an attempt at corned beef and cabbage. It's probably not going to be ready to cook until Wednesday, or maybe Friday. I need to get a roast pan tomorrow or the day after, since I don't actually own one, and three pounds of brisket won't actually fit in any dish I do have. Especially since I've already ordered a rump roast to make sauerbraten -- possibly for Easter/the equinox. Also, I need to find real horseradish, not horseradish sauce made with corn syrup...
And I should stop by the Whole Food at Tentelytown -- I'm pretty sure that's where I saw the light-up 40th-birthday that I want to get for my brother -- and the AC Moore to get some synthrapol, some more cross-stitch needles, and yet another needle-threader (I lose them as often as I lose tape measures)
I've also cleaned up my apartment for inspection tomorrow -- scrubbed out toilet, tub and sink, vacuumed everywhere, boxed up five banker's boxes of clothes, books, and yarn and stuck it in my storage cubby, found a dead rat on the patio and tossed it in the dumpster (YUCK!), threw out a bunch of shoe boxes, and hung seven spindles on my wall to make it look like decoration instead of clutter.
It's still probably not up to standard (it's cluttered, not dirty), but really, I'm not going to pretend I keep house like my mother. My parents house always feels half-empty when I visit, because everything is *so* neat.
