The Beginning

This is a fandom-related journal, so it will not contain posts on my boring everyday life. It will, hopefully, contain my fandom-related thoughts, essays, reviews, and recommendations. This being the first entry, though, I suppose I should lay the ground basics about myself, because this sort of thing does appear in those essays and thoughts mentioned above.

The Very Basics:
I am female, 21 years old, a college student, an American, and straight.

Fandom:
I have several fandoms, but with the approaching release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I expect this journal will be mostly HP related for a good while. I've been reading fanfic for two or three years, a hobby that began with Gundam Wing and has fast moved into books. Most of my fandoms, in fact, are book-based, though Phantom Menace is the exception.

Harry Potter:
I do not like the movies. My favorite characters tend to come from the older generation; Severus Snape, Remus Lupin, and Sirius Black top the list. I write, but have never finished anything and likely never will. I read and write slash, with the occasional bits of gen or het.
