Summary Executions With the examples of the wonderful McTabby, I could not resist posting some of the utter rubbish I found while looking for decent fanfic. OoTP (no spoilers)
Well, I just spent nearly seven hours on the floor of Borders, reading Book Five. I was rousted out by an employee about a hundred pages before the end. Now I must go back at 8 AM or whenever they open, just to read the rest-- if that's even possible.
Story: I called them to find out if they had it, and when asked if I wanted them to put it on reserve for me, I agreed, despite a little hesitation (well, I'm not going to buy it, it seems kind of wrong...), and dashed off to get it. I took it and, before she could ring it up, said I wanted to see if Jennifer Roberson's new book was out, and took it with me. I then sat on the floor and read until a worker interrupted me because the store was closing. I still have a hundred-hundred fifty pages to go. It's incredibly frustrating! I am now tempted by spoilers, whereas I wasn't before, and I still don't know how it ends or who dies or... anything. It's enough to make me restless and antsy; my typing is terrible and lacking punctuation. I know I can't go to sleep, and this Mountain Dew can on my desk has nothing to do with it. I hate having half a story! Why, o why can't I read faster?
Oh-- did anyone else keep having moments where they went "But I thought-- oh, wait, that was fanfic" ? Because I kept getting fanfic flashes whenever something was similar to (or contradictory to) AWS or any of the fics I've read lately. :)
More forthcoming if I get my hands on the book tomorrow. Oh, please, wish me luck! |
