Bad news from another fandom
The Master_Apprentice mailing list has been TOS'd by Yahoo! Groups. It will be recreated, thanks to the efforts of its administrators and loyal fans, but right now everyone is pretty much in shock. Myself included; of all the lists I'm on, M_A is the oldest, and probably the largest, and definitely the closest as a community. It was the first list I joined, before I'd even heard of Harry Potter-- when I was still a "new" fan to slash (as opposed to yaoi) and working over my squicks about "real" people sex. I have many, many fond memories of this group-- I posted my only "published" fanworks there, a few slashy poems (Shakespearian sonnets). (Come to think of it, I ought to post them here as well.)

I am not entirely sure whether the new M_A will be on Yahoo! Groups, or another server, but I fully intend to join again--and again and again, if necessary. M-A was my gateway mailing list, and an excellent one. Anyone who was a member, please pass the news on-- we're not dead, and we're coming back! Sithdragn has given permission to link to her LJ post.
