Angelinos!
Tonight's Hollywood Bowl concert is Dave Brubeck. Yeah DAVE Brubeck.

The Bowl has an unfortunate tradition of being one of the last stops in great artist's death tour - not to be morbid, but the man is getting on. He's one of those icons I've had several chances to see, but somehow something always came up... this time I am NOT letting that happen!
If you're anywhere in the area and have the time off I'd say this is the concert you do NOT want to miss. You can get tickets at the door for like $6/$10 (outer mongolia, but then you scoot forward) and bring a bottle of wine.

Yes, I am. Plus the bowl is walking distance from my house so I might as well get some benifit from the traffic snarls it causes.

It was pretty awesome. This was really THE concert I wanted to see this summer, and I'm glad they were still sharp despite being 80+
