No dogs anymore. My good friend and ex-roomie took them with her when she moved out and got married, the selfish girl. Of course the dogs did belong to her in the first place, but I grew to love them, dammit. My cats, OTOH, were thrilled to see the two boston terriers go. :D

Actually, now I'm the one she calls on to dogsit when they go out of town. So I still get to walk them, just not nearly as often as I used to.

I dunno. National Brandied Fruit day (10/20) could be very good. And 10/12 is international Moment of Frustration Scream Day. They need to fire whoever does their website though, because that background gave me a headache.

You could always foster for a few weeks if you miss having them around but don't want the whole responsibility :)

Last time I tried fostering animals, it was kittens. And we ended up keeping all of them.

Fostering doesn't work if you've got a heart made of mush. :(
