Subject:Help a fandom slut out?

So here's the thing: I don't have any bookmarks. I haven't had any since two computers ago, when my Compaq died, and all the ones I had then are still on the corrupted hard drive which is currently sitting on my bookshelf. (It's so pretty!) It was never really a problem, because any sites I don't remember off the top of my head I can usually retrace my steps to, or at least do a web search. But I've noticed over the past couple of years that I no longer have any idea how to find good fanfic. I mean, I read whatever turns up on my friends list, and it's usually good, but searching for something in, say, a new fandom-- no idea how to go about it.

And now I've got Harper, my Toshiba, who's pretty much top of the line, and I expect him to last me a long time. So the upshot is, I'd like to start building a bookmark collection, and I don't know where to start. Thus, I turn to you guys for help.

Rec me good fanfic sites. Single fandom, multi-fandom, recs, whatever. My list of favored fandoms is on the main page of my journal, down the left side; I also enjoy Harry Potter, Hellblazer (though I've yet to find any good fic), and Good Omens, and I'm open to other suggestions. I tend to prefer snark, cynicism, and conflict over angst, woobieness, and fluff. However, a witty piece of fluff will always capture my attention as well. Wit compensates for a multitude of sins.

Rec me some bookmarks, and I will love you forever.

The dangerous thing about Mary Sues? They give me a terminal case of I Can Do It Better.

Thus, I'm horribly tempted to write an X2 fic in which Pyro-- in character-- must help an OFC-- not a Mary Sue-- in order to save his own life, and is very bitter about the whole thing. Because he's a teenage sociopath, not a wibbly woobie.

Talk me into it. Talk me out of it. Whatever. Help?
