Reconnoitering the hardware store prior to (or so I thought) an afternoon drinking coffee and ficwriting. A 900x290x19mm plank, four 42x19x900mm legs (cut to fit, about 580mm), eight 75mm angle brackets and a dozen 40mm wood screws later, no fic had been written; but I had made this:




Tomorrow is varnishing day, for this and the clothes rack, and I can do washing up and cooking and ironing while the first coat dries.

I need to plan the next project seriously and think about power tools.
