the most stunning combination of looks and intelligence ever to grace existence since JK Rowling created Hermione Granger, to quote myself,
Is still stunning, still intelligent and still just as unavailable.
But she's just as much fun to talk to (perhaps more, now that I'm not worried about the outcome!), when Friday afternoons are quiet in the morgue and in ICU. At least until ICU starts warming up (and the patients risk cooling down!).
Or Saturdays, when I am studying at the office and putting in post-mortem tissue. Saturday I can catch up on what happened in the ICU Friday.
And what might be happening in the morgue on Monday... Anyone for autopsies?
It's really nice to have an intelligent, interesting female friend (they're so much nicer than men). Almost as good as having a girlfriend. It's a fair swap, actually: she comes to my autopsies and I talk about the dead with her; I visit her in ICU and she talks about the living with me. And between the two of us, both of us
And I learn to relax around girls! (Perhaps the most important part - one day I may tell you all the tale of how I almost learned this skill, only to lose it again.)
