I'm feeling perfectly foul and panic-attacky, so here's everyone's favorite LJ cliché photo post, the book and video shelves! Yayayayay! *Kermit flail*

Apologies for the yellowing and blurriness.

Hello, Elrond. Hello, Little Book of Calm. Hello, Raisin Bran Sun.

The appalling pink and yellow thing is a homemade box for Noir. Boogiepop Phantom, over on the right, has one, too, but it's facing inside. If you have any of those old Windows manual slipcases, they're great for slicing down with an X-Acto knife (be careful!) and painting with acrylic, as you would any canvas.

The Region 1 Randall and Hopkirk box set tanked so badly that we probably won't see Volume 2 any time soon, or ever. But at least I can throw away my audio cassettes from the 1970s. Note to self: Try to actually watch Some Like It Hot one day.

I need the Brisco box set. I need it so badly. *needs*

Also, Top Secret! Yay! And it took me forever to find your Little Book of Calm, until I remembered that it's the one that's all tied up and labeled, duh.

I read the Little Book of Calm, and believe me, it's much better off that way. What a load of crock.

Oh, Brisco. *loves*

Someone needs to write a Brisco/Doctor Who crossover. They've both got time travel! It could work! There could be a Brisco/Bowler/Martha love triangle, and Donna/Socrates, and Captain Jack dressed up in old west gear, and, oh, just think of the possibilities!

Bedazzled?

I do love the Raisin Bran Sun. He makes me want to be happy by any means necessary.

Dude, it's the good version, with Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Eleanor Bron, and Raquel Welch. It's totally awesome.

WHEW. Thank Satan and all of his little wizards for that - I thought that was Elizabeth Hurley in the red dress. My faith in your impeccable taste is restored.

So I shouldn't probably check it out then? I saw a couple episodes of the remake with Tom Baker and The Guy With Glasses From QI Who Isn't Sean Locke and found it to be fun, if more than a bit silly (still, Hugh Laurie as a evil spa-owning hypnotist!) so I thought I'd see what the original was like.

...or you could have just been referring to the actual sales of the DVD set, rather than any quality concerns. Which would make much more sense.

It's late.

That second thing. Totally check it out! It can be had for dead(!) cheap, and you can see the original version of the Hugh Laurie episode.
