This was my hobby at one point, like many other things I do, to annoy someone. Writing down as much as I can, while sleep deprived to redo this.
Er the overall point was that concepts are backuped by language, and just because the approach is different doesn't make the concept any less or more, only differently shaped. Or soemthing.
Basically pointing out similarities between fantasy and scifi.
Astronomy is from Astrology, Chemistry is from Alchemy, Science Fiction is from Fantasy and ultimately the difference lies in motivation/explanation.
In other words Qem likes reading trashy novels.
( blah )Er this list was probably largely influenced by or influenced the SpaceFaring Unicorns that were highly placed in an organisation that effectively created an intergalactic economic and technological stranglehold.
At this point I'm not sure which came first - the unicorns had spaceships about a decade before the list, but the unicorns were considerably refined after the list. But both the list and the unicorns can be summed by... "I fail to see a difference." and "Whee this is cool!"
This is what happens when you read your fathers books before your tall enough to get them of the shelf without a chair.
