So, first time I've logged in here in quite some time. Went to check F_W for a particular entry someone else mentioned, and saw... me being mentioned. Huh.
I haven't visited the comm in months and months, and they're still yammering about how much they hate me, and apparently they dug around on my Furnation site to find a pic to harp on.
It's sad. Just... very very sad. These people elevate me to BNF status (of what? I've never been told, and I'm certainly not feeling the love that BNFs supposedly get from the hordes of fans they're supposed to have), blame me for one-third of the community devolving into a shitstorm (and, mind you, that's months AFTER I'd left it and ceased commenting), repost images of my character naked endlessly, and... I'm supposed to be the mockery-worthy one, I guess.
I mean... come on. What's with that? I may have argued with some of these people vehemently, but it was a fucking internet squabble. I haven't communicated with them in... geez, must be at LEAST half a year, probably more... and yet they're still yammering away about me, holding grudges, feeling the need to mock?
I mean... it's kind of hard NOT to come to the conclusion that these people must lead very sad, unfulfilling lives if they're willing to cling to stuff like that.
Edit: Um. Wow. I just read somewhere that F_W has been screening comments for some time now. (This, from some F_W LJ offshoot or something that friended my LJ recently.) ... That's... just really sad. They're not even pretending anymore, are they? |

You know, this one author on fanfracture.net has really good fics... the only sucky part about them is that all the characters seem to be brought together in unity over what an overwhelming and utter evil and vile bitch Jean Grey is.
Yes, people, I understand that some writers have done unflattering (or rather, flattering-to-the-point-of-fawning) things with her. And I realize a lot of fans are sick of her being oh-so-important, and two of the hottest guys want her and several others have over the years besides, and she's waffled occasionally on commitment.
But you need to realize that almost anyone's going to come off in a bad light when you stretch their interpersonal relationships of a few years out over multiple decades. You also need to realize that, however unflatteringly she acts in the comics, she is not An Evil Bitch Who Thinks The Universe Revolves Around Her. (Except maybe in the Ultimate line.)
Overdone character bashing is unattractive no matter WHAT character you do it to. |

Hm. Something that seems mildly wanky, about not liking self-referential comics (dunno how he can stand to read ANY S*P strip, then), someone that seems to be taking Webcomic Loser's arguments seriously and defending MegaTokyo, an accusation of webcomic name whoring, but that's about it, so far... the comic and post's only been up for around eight hours or so, though, it seems, so only time will tell if the urge to wank overcomes the urge to fan-squee the artist.

This Tanya chick over on Bad RPers Suck seems to have a high opinion of herself, making long-winded rants with titles like "In Which Tanya Rants About Internal Thoughts/Monologues In IC Posts." Basically, every post she's made to the community so far has been along the lines of "Wah, wah, people aren't RPing the way -I- want them to and doing storylines -I- like! Wah, wah!"
Eh, the first one she made isn't too bad, and she has a point or two in the second one, but by the third it's just whining and bitching and the implication that she's the bestest RPer ever and everyone needs to listen to her and RP her way.

I should have just shut up much earlier on), who's really wanking in all this latest stuff, who's PRETEND wanking each other, who's really being mean for the sake of being mean, and AGAIN who's piss-taking.
For what it's worth, I'm SORRY for being thin-skinned and stupid lately, alright? I honestly am having a lot of problems and it's made me on-edge. I should've sucked it up when I got some snark for posting a non-"real" wank, but I didn't, and screwed up. Everyone does it, and I'm sorry I was the one to do it this time.
I'm just gonna leave it at that and stay out of commenting on anything wank-related for awhile, I think. |

I'm rereading OotP, again, and it strikes me... Angelina, Katie, and Alicia are just almost outright stated as being a threesome. I mean, yeah, JKR doesn't exactly have them making out together, but they always arrive together, they almost always leave together, and Angelina is only rarely mentioned without the other two.

Made a post in Fandom_Wank. A post that was much like several posts to the community before, IE, a wank that wasn't people ACTUALLY wanking, but a RP flame war. The previous posts were laughed at, enjoyed, and hailed as quite funny.
Within a few hours, people were posting saying mine wasn't "real wank" and needed to be deleted, and mocking me instead. ~.~
So, I emptied the post, asked for it to be deleted, and turned off the comments. Since some will probably sneer at me as much for having a bad night and not being in the mood to be sniped at and thus deleting it as much as they would have sneered at me for posting a wank that wasn't "real", you can snipe here.

France got voted weaseliest country... but Bush is still weaseliest person? Except... most people that I've seen who are anti-Bush are "Leave France alone! Viva la France!" Something kinda doesn't add up there.
*shrugs* Ah, but I'm really not surprised that most of the polls did wind up being influenced heavily towards the Left. (The man puts out a line of vegetarian burritos. c.c;;) But more than that, because the vast majority of those who are outspoken about politics online tend to be left-leaning. I'm not saying EVERYONE is, but just from my own personal observations, anyone that leans more towards the right is more likely to bring it up only when someone else does first, and less likely to go on long rants about it at random. Which may just be an inevitable result of there being a Republican in the White House. If there's a Democrat next time around, it could flip-flop.
Eh, anyway, Dilbert, the comic, itself is pretty non-political, and the artist's not being BLATANTLY wankariffic, so I still feel fine with reading it. n.n |

Well, Dilbert.com has ended its poll for the 2003 Weasels of the Year. Apparently, last year, a lot of Left-leaning personalities put up in the poll got voted for as Weasels, and the author said something to the effect of "It's just because some Right-wing site rallied its forces and stacked the poll." ... Right, because letting a bunch of people know about a poll so they can vote in it is tampering with the votes, right? I guess this means that if an election doesn't turn out the way you want, it's just because someone rallied support in those damn Right-wing states, and it doesn't really count...
Er, anyway. The "winners" won't be announced until the 20th. (Why? It's an online poll, results should be available right away. The little tinhat angel on my shoulder says it's because this time, he wants to edit out any votes done by someone referred from a "Right-wing kook" site so it's "fair". The rational and cynical little angel on my other shoulder says it's probably more to do with his new book, The Way of the Weasel, coming out on the 21st. The devils are busy fucking each other.) But I wonder, if Left-wing people get voted as weasels again, he'll make some sort of similar statement...?
