Not exactly a review
I'm only about halfway through it, but I cannot say enough good things about Alison Bechdel's Fun Home.

I just . . . holy crap. What an intense, beautiful, and wrenching piece of work this is.

Definite shades of Six Feet Under.And (for the half-dozen or so of you on my (LJ) flist who know what I'm talking about) it's making me nostalgic for Freshman Comp/Freshman Sem.

Seriously, people, give this book a try.
