So they say you come out of an animal shelter wanting to adopt them all, but yesterday I only felt like a good day accomplished. But today... today I can't stop thinking about Fini, this little curly-haired Schnauzer-type dog. He was the sweetest thing and he had a sister who already got adopted, so he was v lonely. He'd bark at everything but if you got in his pen he'd immediately try to cuddle with you. Poor, sweet thing.

And unlike Mocha >:(, he didn't try to bite me when I tried to leave. Mocha's a black lab (they have a few of those) puppy, and the turn-away-and-don't-reward-bad-behavior-with-attention policy did not work when she grabbed my shirt and held on... with her teeth. No punctures, but people had to rescue me and unlatch her.

&Cody; is also one of my favorites, because he's bloody huge and I love big dogs. He was also so cute with really long legs - black lab mix with Godzilla, on his hind legs he could put his front legs on my shoulders easily - and a really long lolling tongue. Strong as hell, though, and I'm glad I didn't run him. The top volunteer, V, did instead, putting a "backpack" on him with bottled water in it to slow him down. I took out Baby, a young German Shepard, while V ran Cody around.

Butter was also sweet, barely barked unlike the other dogs, but pulled like a demon on our walks. So I walked Pepper (the oldest, black lab or otherwise, and, uh, pretty aggressive :( ), Baby, Butter, Sasha (very pretty dog, like a greyhound or something; so cute, she chased after butterflies and grasshoppers), Maisey, and Furby (who was a little hairy dog and very appropriately named).

I didn't spend any time in the Cattery (I've always loved my cats, but dogs are more fun) and the Nursery was closed, but I had some good times. Today it's definitely like, "oh man, i wish they all had homes :(" though. But Furby got adopted that day and I believe Fini is adopted too! It's a couple days process, so if I go tomorrow they'll probably still be there. I think Furby will be picked up Tuesday.

So... yeah. Also, Kadath? Hot. Hot. Hot. Hot. Very hot. >:C

"Hey, there's a duck at the window."

"Well, feed it some bread so it'll go away and stop watching us get dressed. :("

I don't know. If I had sex with a duck, would it turn me into a were-duck?

Your pictures of him seem to always make me laugh. Incidentally, why does he look like a middle-schooler in the first one?

So many names!

I'm not cut out to do stuff like that, what with being scared of dogs (well, not really scared anymore, but not exactly comfortable around them either), but you totally sound like it's a great thing for you. And them, of course. :)
