Well, I now have a job lined up and a roommate moving in starting tonight. I also have three papers due next week. I'm a little bit stressed, and I'm not sure how to calm down. Besides cleaning and exercising that is. Deep breaths, self, deep breaths!

I also picked up Nano this year! Did anyone else? I'm like, four days behind D: For a while I just couldn't concentrate on anything, and I barely wrote. This cold weather just makes me want to curl up in bed and do nothing. Bah!

Anyway, could be so much worse. Dark Forces is keeping me sane. How are you folks?

My husband was on a business trip for two weeks, and I remodeled one of the bathrooms. Since much of this involves work I did myself, I'm still recovering. Unfortunately, we are throwing a big birthday party for my husband on Saturday, as well as having all of our relatives over for Thanksgiving. We're also busy at work.

This is ruining my recovery plans.

I vaguely look forward to the inevitable snowing-in in December/early January, because it will give me time to rest.

That's pretty cool though. How was the party?

The party went well. My husband changed his mind on some details at the last minute (he decided to cover alcohol, and he wanted the food brought out earlier. *Sigh*) This is par for the course, but any changes tend to send me into a panic. I'm not really a people person and/or good with event planning, so parties are a constant source of stress for me. (Which is why we didn't have guests at our wedding and I don't have birthday parties.)

He seemed to enjoy having his friends come, the food was good, and the cake was good. ...And it's ten years until we hit another "big birthday" for him, so I'm safe...
