So I've been sitting here thinking, we'd talked about taking a little bit of a roadtrip in the U.S. So I made a little plan.

Yes, it's ambitious, I know.
I've found places for us to stay, to keep my Sicuro in the luxurious fashion to which I hope you will soon become accustomed. Starting at the W in Los Angeles, moving to the Bellagio in Vegas, L'Auberge in Sedona, the Lodges at the Grand Canyon (the only place where you can stay inside the park itself) and then, after our longest bit of driving, two full weeks at the Ritz-Carlton Batchelor Gulch resort in Vail. We'll have a suite overlooking the valley with a fireplace and the works.
Now, I can't promise that my comparatively few hours of driving lessons have actually enabled me to be an equally contributing partner behind the wheel but I'll do all that I can. There are long stretches of what I've been assured are very low-traffic roads in the middle of nowhere, I think I can manage those if you'll take the interstates and close urban parts.
So, how does that sound as a way to celebrate our first anniversary?
I shall now go back to twiddling knobs and poking buttons while you digest how insane your husband is to have just proposed a 1,247 mile trip for fun.
I promise I have a plan B (and a plan C) that I'm more than happy to employ if you're not inclined to give this a go. (Alternately, airline reservations for all the legs other than LA to Vegas which I'm told is a ride everyone should try at least once.)
Love you,
N.

First of all, you're definitely insane.
Second, it's absolutely brilliant, I love it, and we should go.
We can work out the driving once we know what you're comfortable with, I've done enough driving over there that I'm happy enough to drive whenever needed.
Just... wow. I'd say I can't believe you worked all this out, but I know you and you're amazing. So I'll stick with "just wow."
Love you,
Cillian.
