So the weekend's been fun. I blew off leading the family seder because it looked like no one actually wanted to perform the ritual besides me, and went to a religious friend's place. Five people, but so much fun. A couple glasses of wine loosened everyone up and we all eventually made fun of the haggadah. And had philosophical conversations about God's reasons for killing Egyptians. And debated the age of certain Talmudic rabbis at length.

Not often I'm with a group of people and more than half now and are willing to sing the grace after the meal with me (and know the Hebrew school tune. :D)

Sunday I went to the Cherry Blossom Festival, which was mostly awesome. I ended up handing out the consolation prizes for the costume contest and got a full set of teeny Naruto plushies, a couple of keychains and a huge Cat-Kyo plush for the trouble. Me and friends hung out, people watched, bought shit we had no money for (well, okay, I bought mom some pieces of fabric, and myself food.)

I apparently scared my ex-roomates too. It's been a year since they kicked me out and we've only been at one other event together, and pretty much successfully avoided each other there. I turned around yesterday, noticed one of the exes and nudged my friend (I wasn't paying attention and thought he was someone else.) He caught me looking, grabbed the others, who were sitting next to him, and immediately took off. I feel like I should be amused that I have that much power over them.

After that, we all went to Pika Pika, which is a store that has all of these Japanese photobooths, the kind that are uber-expensive and elaborate and you can choose the background, and four or six of the ten pictures, and then decorate the pictures after. There are several pictures that feature My Boobs because I was wearing a really low-cut top and a bra that kind of sucked.

And then dad took me and mom out to eat at this nice restaurant that serves a Passover menu during the holiday, and did a Two-Minute Seder mom found online. Our servers were deeply amused by that. We ended up giving the printed out seder thing to our waitress because she liked it.
