I hate my cat. He woke me twice this morning. Once at three and once again at four when he threw up on my bed.

And if there's anyone actually reading this, I have six gmail invites I don't know what to do with.

...I am way too amused by bad summaries on ff.net. My current favorite:
Eagle, in a heartbreak, finally says to Hikaru: "Maybe it's wrong to say please love me too, coz I know you'll never do. Somebody else is waiting there inside for you. Maybe it's wrong to love you more each day, coz I know he's here to stay..."

I mean, the hell? Yes, I know when I get dumped by one of my lovers for my other lover, I break out into badly written and spelled songs. Doesn't everyone?

And come on. Can anyone honestly tell me that Hikaru and Lantis and Eagle don't look quite ready to settle down into a happy threesome at the end of the Rayearth II manga? Admittedly, in the anime, that probably isn't true. Besides, necrophilia is so not my thing.

Fuck. I have the attention span of my cat.

...This is prompted by my sudden fascination with antique maps. Coming in rapid succession with my fascination with Asian furniture, rampant lesbianism in Maria-sama ga Miteru, geishas, embroidery, and baking. When it's too hot for me to want to move.

I also think that Maria-sama ga Miteru and Tennis no Oujisama are in some odd way complimentary. One's entirely yuri innuendo, the other one's yaoi innuendo. Though Maria-sama ga Miteru should take a leaf from PoT and have antigravity skirts. ^_^

Yay! My bittorrents are downloading at 30 kps. Now all I need is for a perfect day is either a cool front, or a cat less determined to make himself into a clawed fur blanket.

Let it be known that getting your house painted sucks. Especially when it takes over a week. Especially when your room gets entirely fucked up, and you have to reorganize everything. Especially when both of my animals have nervous breakdowns. Loud nervous breakdowns. On my lap.

And the electricity shorted out in my bathroom for some ungodly reason, so no light in the bathroom, either. And I have a headache from the paint fumes. This effing sucks.

Yay. This is my first post.

Actually, I was thinking about how, if I could create any sort of government I could, what I would do. I'm thinking about trying to work it out fully, but here's some random rules I came up with. This is mostly based off the US government.

1. All government established bureaucracies must have their bosses voted in by the electorate. This is to limit their power.
2. There shall be a non-partisan group maintaining a website containing all information about presidential candidates that people could want, down to the color of their underwear. Haven't figured out how to do that one yet. I know I'd have way too much fun with the character assassinations.
3. Only people who have served in the military shall vote. However, not all of them have to serve in stereotypically military ways. *hearts* Heinlein.
4. Policemen shall not be as well armored as the fucking Army. Anything needs that much firepower, they can call in the Army.
5. No politician shall serve in high offices for more than ten years.
6. The right to bear arms shall not be infringed in any way whatsoever. No carry permits even. Just a 1 minutes or less background check to make sure they haven't committed a felony. In fact...
7. How to use a gun shall be taught in school. A well armed populace is the best way to remind a government not to fuck around too much.
8. Speed limits shall be renamed minimum speed, and slow drivers shall be ticketed. So shall people exceeding 15 miles above the speed limits.
9. If you have Alzheimers, your drivers license is pulled.
10. Any sort of discrimination except on the basis of personality and ability will not be allowed within the government. This includes affirmative action. In private life, laws about discrimination shall only be passed if things start getting out of control. Think lynchings, not oversensitive idiots claiming their offended.
10. Repeat rapists and child molesters will be castrated. A murderer who has killed more than two people will be executed.
11. Drugs shall be made legal, but no drug users will be hired into governmental positions. Drug usage will be an instantly fireable offense, even for elected officials.
12. Government stays out of marriage entirely, until there are kids. At which point... Fuck, this is complicated. Come back to this.
13. After 1000 federal laws have been created, each time a law is passed, another law must repealed. Each state can have 750 laws.
14. All laws must be written in language understandable by the average 10th grader.
15. See Fairtax.org for the system of taxation used. Speaking of which, income tax would be made illegal.
16. Two house system. Keep Senate and House of Representatives.

Okay, I don't feel like writing any more. Besides, need to start dinner. Yay for prosciutto wrapped chicken stuffed with mozzarella and basil. Yummy.
