Bloody hell, I meant to get to this post before this morning, but I'm going to be in Los Angeles for the North Country premiere tomorrow. For those of you who are currently in Los Angeles, I might be able to stretch the schedule enough to see you -- just need to know that you're interested, first.

It's very strange heading back to that part of the world as a visit -- for two years it was home. I'm looking forward to the visit, of course. Not so much to the flight, but rumor has it Master is going to keep me distracted enough I won't notice I'm on a damned plane. *grin*

Found this while looking for a birthday present for Carrie-Anne. I probably spent ten minutes laughing over it, so of course I had to get it for you. I think it's the idea of describing anything as "fun, frothy, and manly scented".

I've been going about this all wrong. I keep thinking about it as if it's a great huge thing, this idea of a two-year contract with Bill. Two years is a long time, yeah, but who agonizes over whether friendships are going to last two years? Friendships last unless you fall out of touch or grow apart, and I don't see that happening here. We fit. We match. Bill's good for me, and I like the idea that I can be good for someone else. It's hard not knowing what you offer someone -- not knowing why the hell they'd want you. I'm never going to have to worry about that with Bill. I fill a need for him, and I'm damned happy filling it. It's worth two years to keep giving that to him. It's worth two years to keep getting what I'm getting out of this.

What do you get your master as an extending-the-contract gift? I'm looking for something that says "All yours" in a slightly more emphatic way than, say, a flower arrangement.
