Pern Peril
The Dragonriders of Pern (r) are a series of books written by Anne McCaffrey. I fell in love with them as a child, which led to my love of dragons and the art work of [insert name here] who did the covers for the United Kingdom versions of her books and are and will nearly always continue to be what I believe the Dragons of Pern look like.

I'm not sure anyone who reads this has had the pleasure of meeting Ms.McCaffrey, [let alone are interested in her books]. I have. She is a scary woman. Especially when you're thirteen and nothing more than a hobbit that hides themselves in books and fantastical worlds all the time.

Anne is one of the scariest novelist I've ever met. And the only one I know whom actually puts out rules for fanfiction, fanart, and rpgs concerning her world. [This is going on a little long].

One particular "Rule" caught my eye:
"5. Pornographic or “slasher” sites, based on any of my literary works, are expressly forbidden. But I’m sure you know that. I’m a grandmother, after all."

Those who know me may know [although more likely wouldn't know] that I had a small comic idea that was in fact "slasher"-ish based in the world Anne had created. I respect her greatly as an author, and everyone has their own opinion on sexual preference, which is fine.. But.. I just find it amusing.

This only make me want to revist those old characters in the world Anne had already made up for those who read her books. What's most amusing, to me, is that it was more that I'd "slashed" the Dragons before the actual human characters.
