So I can't really remember when this popped into my head. I think it was during the Pixar presentation that was really just a waste of time.. and I had myself thinking "Why don't they do stuff that's similiar to say.. oh, I don't know.. Dirge of Cerberus (because I'd just watched the clips that AonE had put up on Toshokan) or say Advent Children. Something more.. adult orientated.." But then, asking such a question would be really rude, and after spending 4 years of your life on a childrens film that you're proud of, being asked that would be.. just.. not nice.

But I had something in my head. About monsters, and something like.. Well, honestly, the thing I was comparing it to in my head was something GreenMonkey is working on. No, not Undertown, but his other original idea he had with the cool looking monster like things. Or Something almost digimon-esque, but where the digimon isn't a partner.

If you could open up a demo reel with a fleshed out, finished 3D scene.. one that cuts STRAIGHT into the action, and it builds, and builds, and although you have NO idea what's happening you find that you're completely captivated. This monster like things are fighting away, in a really dark and dingy city 'scape and something that's just NOT kiddy and then the climax is about to reach and-- It cuts. It stops, and Peace Orchestra's Who Am I starts to play as the demo reel then cuts into a rotation of the models you worked on for that short. The polygon version, the textured version, maybe a few facial expressions. Show off the layouts you did, and then you could show off some alternate work like original concepts for it and your 2D skils as well, and finishing it off with your contacts and such.. I think that'd be a really nice piece right there.

I guess, that'd work more as a pitch package than an actual demo reel for a job, but I think the work done for it would work two-folds. In anycase.. I have this desire to stroyboard a monster like fighting scene.. maybe.. Well, I don't really wanna sacrafice my dragons story idea to it since I'd really prefer 2D animation for that, but.. another story idea.. would be really nice for this one. Especially if I can design some nice, and charicatureable monsters to go with it. Yeah. The new project to sit at the back of of my head I think =3.

But that type of layout for a pitch package.. I like it, as long as the people viewing it don't mute the tv, or put it on fast forward =/.

"Don't you get it? I'm the body, and you're just the heart. And like in your world, I can get a new heart should this one fail me. Sometimes, rare times, it may not succedd, and it may hurt like a bitch.. but you... You're expendable."
