I'd heard about fanhistory.com the wiki-how its admins whine for people to work on it, but if you actually make substantial edits, you end up getting banned. Yesterday I was bored and the Bleach article on the FH wiki was grossly bloated and in many places inaccurate, so I did some cleaning, which included trimming down the plot summary and removing links such as one writer's personal LJ for writing a crossover fic.
I got banned! For "Vandalism, didn't follow the rules, removed info with out relocating."
And yet something like 90% of the changes I made are still there, so they can't have been THAT bad. I guess I'm a terrible editor for thinking stuff like "Tekkoshocon, an anime convention, was held April 13 to April 15, 2007 outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Bleach cos-players were one of the largest groups of cos-players represented at this convention" wouldn't need to be in an article about the history of Bleach as a fandom.
Bitch, please. You could say that about damn near every convention held in the last three years. If that's what the FH wiki is all about, I fully support the OTW wiki, and I normally roll my eyes all over the OTW.
