With the Hellboy movie starting today, I decided it was time to catch up on my Hellboy-related comics. Thanks to the internet, it doesn't matter that I misplaced my paper copies in a 'safe place' before I had a chance to read them (I expect to lose a small child that way someday), for with the click of a button and two hours wait, I can enjoy them all at the convenience of my desk. That's service.
Anyway, what I chose to read was
Abe Sapien: The Drowning* because the two unlost issues of it I'd read I'd rather liked, except for one small little detail.

They're full of moments like this. I mean, I have nothing against characters with insecurities and I'm not saying that's out of character for Abe.
Just, by that point I was expecting the final pages of the comic to be Abe sobbing hysterically into a pint of Ben and Jerry's. (Is there a flavour called Phish Food or am I imagining that? That's what it'd be. I hope it existed in the 80s.)
...actually, I'd probably read that. So what do I know?
