Stayed up chatting last night so that I could validate the behemoth. Cheers! Yes, I could have cheated and entered an Atlantic time zone, gotten the purple bar, and then changed time zones back again... but that would be no fun and that would be cheating. Cheat once in NaNo and might as well cheat the whole damned month.
Am not writing on Punctuated Reflections today. I might get a few more words in between Wednesday and Sunday, but I'm not going to be bothered one way or another if I don't. It is, for all intents and purposes, finished and ready to be put to bed until editing in February.
In fact, I might use the remainder of the month to rethink the writing approach and plan for 2009.
But first, I am getting more coffee. |

By bud and root, leaf and stem: as it were.
Finally fully fed-up with LJ. Realised that there is very little holding me there that would encourage me to create content there. My journal will go friends and read only with possible links to other clients. So many people are resistant to use IJ for whatever reason, more fool they for the site administrator actually listens to his customer base. Yeah, I must be insane for expecting that and be willing to support such an enterprise.
A permanent account here is in the works, and a rename token, or just a new journal once I can afford it. I like a bit of continuity across blogging boards. Each day will be given to an account [blogger, wordpress, fen, and ij] to get links up, etc. And I need to write a "so long and thanks for all the fish" post for LJ.
Hmmm... might just use that line with apologies to Mr Adams. |

The latest news from LJ has finally nailed the coffin lid shut for me. I will not produce content for them to make however many meagre pennies they will get from plastering adverts over my account. My content will go to my IJ account and be crossposted here; although I think that I will lock the metaphysical ramblings and keep public the posts dealing with writing and other issues related to the creative process. Yes, that will include football and knitting. |
