Title: A Kiss is Just a Kiss
Pairing: RPS - Will/Jon
Rating: PG
Words: 600ish
Summary: A few interviews later...
Author's notes: Inspired by this video. Don't lie, you know we all wanted it to happen!
Disclaimer: This is a work of complete fiction. I don't own either of these men though I wish I did. ...Jon? Will? Don't sue me. ;)

The first time, it had almost been embarrassing. Jon leaned in, hoping that Will would play along, hoping for a funny little moment in which the interviewer, and by extension the audience at home, would think they were about to kiss. Instead, Jon only craned forward to catch Will's eyes and Will stared resolutely at the interviewer. If Jon was the type to get embarrassed easily, he might have turned red, but thankfully he wasn't that type. He sat back in his seat and continued the interview.

It had still been funny, he reasoned, even without Will playing along... and even if nobody laughed.

He sighed to himself as he realized he really needed to work on his timing.

The day went on, interview after interview, and Will's stories were growing more and more farfetched as the questions grew more and more repetitive. Jon smiled and played along as much as he could, but, really, it was hard to keep up. He wasn't a comedian, just an actor, and he was just now starting to grow comfortable being interviewed with Will anyway. Will was the main attraction, he knew, the naturally funny one.

The interviewer in front of them now asked what had to have been the millionth question of the day regarding the homoerotic content of the movie, and before Jon could even respond, Will spoke.

"He tried to kiss me." Will nodded resolutely at the interviewer, half-smile playing on his lips.

Had he been thinking about that since it happened?

"Really?" the interviewer asked, sounding amused.

Jon shrugged, smiling broadly. "Well, you know..." He glanced at Will, a habit he'd developed to see if they were on the same page on something, to find Will looking at him almost challengingly, almost as if he was daring Jon, egging him on, to carry out the failed "joke" from the earlier interview. Jon held his gaze, his smile growing questioning. "I think Jimmy would have kissed Chazz, yeah... He gets into it, you know..."

"Oh...?"

There was the briefest of nods from Will, and Jon knew it was an invite to try it again. Jon held his hands out invitingly and leaned toward Will again, going in for the fake-out kiss, but this time Will surprised him. Jon felt the hands on his shoulders and Will's lips against his before he'd even realized Will had pulled him forward.

His eyes snapped open, having been half-lidded just moments before, and Will angled them so the back of his head was to the camera. Jon was sure it looked as though they were really kissing... and then panic flooded him. They were really kissing! Sure, there was no tongue, but lips against lips counted!

He shifted slightly into it, playing along even in his shock (he had learned that from Will, just to go with it), and his chair tilted and started to fall. He broke away in reaction to the spill to plant his foot on the ground and brace himself on the arm of Will's chair. When he finally had himself stable, Will had pulled away. He was grinning, and Jon could tell he was trying not to laugh.

"See? Chazz Michael Michaels makes them all swoon." He shrugged and raised an eyebrow, and Jon settled himself back in his chair.

"Yeah, seriously," Jon said, laughing nervously, "...Wow." He cleared he throat and shook his head, still smiling softly, and tried to regain his composure.

No, Jon wasn't the type to embarrass easily, but this time he could feel the heat rising in his cheeks.
