idk about you guys, but I am pretty fucking pissed about the way LJ has been running things lately. I think they're embarrassed by--nay, perhaps even ashamed of--people like me, with my "slash" and my "porn" and my "suicidal depression" and my--all that shit. The point is, I am going to make them pay. You know what I am going to do? I am going to take my "embarrassing," "shameful," "offensive" content and for one day I will stop posting it. Fuck yeah. You heard me right. I am going to teach people who are annoyed by me a lesson by quietly going away for a little while. Don't try to talk me out of it. We must all make our stand. Now that the Ginmar craziness seems to be winding down (oh God, I hope...I haven't looked at my flist yet), I sort of thought I'd talk about this. Yesterday a friend of mine told me about the "crazy German kid" video on Youtube. If, like me, you haven't heard of it, it's a video of, you know, a crazy German kid going apeshit on camera because the online RPG he wants to get into won't load fast enough. And I mean apeshit (this version has English subtitles, and the kid's mouth is foul, so it might be NSFW). My friend told me this video is "one of the top ten funniest things" he's ever seen. And I love me some funny shit--why else would I hang out in wank comms, on the off chance that someday, I will see something funny? But this isn't funny to me. Either the kid is staging it, or he's really, seriously messed up and needs help right away. I felt really sorry for him, and kind of scared at the same time. I guess that's how I feel about Ginmar except, holy shit, she's a grown woman. But I agree with some of you guys who have said you feel guilty about engaging her because she's obviously wrong in the head. She makes me angry and depressed and frustrated, but she never makes me laugh. YMMV, but I'd be pretty happy not to see her featured in the wank comms again. Fat chance, I know. Just thinking out loud. |
