Friends Only I will be friends-locking all of my R or NC-17 stories. I know you have to be of age to have a journalfen account, but I still want to be sure that no underage people stumble across these. If you would like to be able to read these stories, then just friend me and leave a comment here. I will add you. Please pay attention to the individual warnings on each story. | | Monday, July 23rd, 2007 | | 7:57 pm |
Harry Potter Book 7 Anyone that knows me knows that I am not one to sit and read a book. 200 page fanfics while also watching tv, sure, but to just sit and read a book all day . . . I don't think I've ever done that. Well, LadyKorana and my husband suggested reading book 6 again first. I decided to follow their lead, even though I had previously read it 3 times. I reread 6 Friday and Saturday; although I did use my audio CDs when I got tired of reading. But, my audio CDs of seven never care. So I read the entire book, cover to cover, in one sitting over 17 hours on Sunday. I finished at 2:30 AM and still managed to make it to work by 8 AM. No matter what else I may say about the book, it is impressive from that fact alone. The rest of my comments will be behind the lj cut, just in case I actually have someone on my friends list that hasn't finished it yet. Flock I thought of something else I wanted to share with you guys. You have got to try Flock. I'm not one to suggest a product like that, but its really that great. Flock is an internet browser based on firefox. But what makes it so great is that it ties right into your photobucket account. You can upload as many pictures as you want in one click to your photobucket account (okay, two clicks). But that saves me a lot of time right there. But, it gets better. Then, it has a filmstrip at the top of the browser. If you want to include a picture in your blog or journal or website, all you have to do is drag and drop from the filmstrip and the html for the image will be right there. It's that easy. It was taking me a couple of hours to update my blog to now just about 10-15 minutes! It's at www.flock.com I think. I only bring it up here because I think a lot of people here could really use it. Here's a picture for example, that took me 10 seconds. | | Wednesday, August 9th, 2006 | | 11:58 pm |
Happy Birthday I just noticed that livejournal says that it's alisanne's birthday today. So alisanne, if it is your birthday, then HAPPY BIRTHDAY! | | Tuesday, July 18th, 2006 | | 1:57 pm |
New Pirates Story My new Pirates story Post-Dead Man's Chest is posted at http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3051704/1/ It contains major spoilers, so don't read it if you haven't seen the movie. But, if you have seen the movie and like my angsty hurt/comfort style, you might enjoy this story. It just wouldn't get out of my head. Does anyone know of any good Pirates archives? Maybe one that specializes in angst or h/c, or just one not overrun with 12 year olds? Ohhh, and extra thanks to LadyKorana for betaing this story for me. Without her maybe I'd sound like a 12 year old, at least my grammar. Now, back to Draco's Protector this week. Must post chapter 6 soon. | | Monday, July 17th, 2006 | | 1:51 pm |
I'm on a bit of a spending spree. I bought a ton of Pirate's stuff. I bought the junior novelization of the second movie, the soundtrack, the visual guide (very nice and worth the money, by the way), the movie storybook, and the PS2 game (which is absolutely hillarious and a must buy for any pirates fan. Playing as the Will character is so awesome and adorable, and Jack and the whole story is hillarious).
My husband actually decided on the biggest splurge this weekend, though. We bought two new Nintendo DS Lites (new version of gameboys). We bought Mario Kart, Super Mario Brothers, and the new Pirates game. These things are awesome. With some of the games you only have to buy one copy of the game and two people in the same room can play it together. So, we can race eachother on Mario Kart. The two screens is actually cooler than I thought it would be. And, you can connect via a wireless network, which we have, and play people around the world. It's really cool.
I finished my very short Post-Pirates Dead Man's Chest fic today and sent it off to a friend to read for me. I hope to post it ff.net this week and then to post an update to Draco's Protector later this week, too. Let's hope the writing juices keep flowing. | | Wednesday, July 12th, 2006 | | 9:55 pm |
Writing LadyKorana came over this weekend and we went to see POTC 2. I wan't put any spoilers in here, but I will say that I was a little disappointed, but I'm still ready to see it again. Certain specific scenes were awesome. LadyKorana and I had a great weekend. We had a picnic and went to the symphony then played the new Pirates game for PS2, which is AWESOME and fun.
I was all set to come home and write some Pirates fic, just a short 1-shot postmovie fic. Then, I got an e-mail from a friend that my story Draco's Protector has been plagarized. I checked it out, word for word plagarism. The stupid girl had even reviewed my story before. I'm not giving names, because I don't want to start a flame war. I e-mailed the mod of the site the copy was on. But, it REALLY depressed me and burned all creative energy I was ready to pour into my stories. I keep telling myself that it must be a pretty good story for someone to plagarize, and try to make myself remain not mad. Anybody got any advice for me?
Deep breath, going to force myself to write this Pirate's story that will not leave my head. Then I can get back to writing some more of Draco's Protector--which hopefully won't be plagarized anymore. | | Sunday, June 25th, 2006 | | 6:59 pm |
Draco's Protector Happy news--AdultFanfiction.net appears to be back up and running. I was FINALLY able to update my story, Draco's Protector, after 3 months of downtime. Of course, I've continued writing, but I had been suffering from pretty bad writer's block. But, I finally got chapter 6 the way I wanted, and I have the approval of my beta and a couple of friends. So--now onward with chapter 7. It always is a good feeling when you finally get a chapter the way you want.
In unhappy news I just realized that I only have 4 days off in the next 6 weeks. Oh, that really sucks. | | Tuesday, April 25th, 2006 | | 10:50 pm |
American Idol Greg's out of town this week, so I'm living the bachelorette life again--well, not really, but I'm alone. I miss him. Here's my thoughts on American Idol this week ( Read more... ) | | Thursday, April 20th, 2006 | | 12:31 pm |
Draco I saw the quiz on a friend's post and decided to take it. Amazingly, I got canon Draco over angsty Draco! Maybe it's because I try to keep angsty Draco as close to canon as I possibly can?

You, as the original Draco from the books, are snotty, immature, and jealous. You are obsessed with what your father thinks. You hate Harry, his friends, basically all Gryffindors, and all Muggle-borns. You are paired up with Pansy Parkinson. Lucky you. You're pretty much not found anywhere except the books, because...damn. You have little to no redeeming qualities.
Find out which Draco you are.Or maybe it's because I like hurt/comfort Draco, not just angsty Draco. Angst is good, but always leaves me craving some good H/C. Here's the angsty Draco entry.

Sob. Cry. Sniffle. You lead an awful existence, tortured by those such as your father, your House, Harry, Voldemort, Snape, and the list goes on. Often going hand in hand with Slashy!Draco, you are usually paired up with either Harry or (ew) Lucius. Sometimes suicidal, sometimes just very fond of how blood looks on your pale skin, you bitch and whine throughout the whole story. How depressing.
Find out which Draco you are.The quiz was kinda fun. It was interesting to see what other fan groups there are out there. | | Tuesday, April 4th, 2006 | | 11:35 pm |
April 4th Day 2 at my new store, and it went okay. I'm still a little nervous for the future, but it wasn't as stressful as my old store. And, I got home at 10:20 instead of 11:00. It doesn't sound like that big a difference, but it really was.
A very short American Idol post, since I had to watch it fast on my DVR. I'm working Tuesday nights now, so I had to watch quickly and not update lj during commercials so that I could vote before the cut-off. Anyway, they all seemed to do really well tonight. I HATE country, but they all did well. I really have no idea who will go home, because I don't think anyone did bad. I guess Katharine is most likely to go home. I thought Chris sang country well. I knew Bucky wouldn't go home during country week, but he sang a song I know as an alternative song, and damn it, I actually like that song. Mandisa didn't do as well as he could have; hope that doesn't mean she's going home. Paris took on a big song, but I thought she did okay. Elliott--that was the first time I've really liked a song of his. Again, I thought they all did well. | | Tuesday, March 28th, 2006 | | 8:03 pm |
American Idol, life in general This is my last week at my store. I transfer to my new store next Monday. I'm scared, nervous, excited, and relieved all at the same time. Gotta work on my fanfic. Gotta make myself work on my fanfic. The problem is I keep thinking of other stories and plot and can't concentrate on the story I'm suppose to be writing. Maybe I can work on it Thursday. Maybe if I write the weird ideas down for a minute, then I can concentrate on my Draco story Thursday. American Idol ( behind the lj cut ) | | Saturday, March 25th, 2006 | | 5:57 pm |
Quizes I love little online quizes. This one wasn't really a quiz. It's just a generator, but I really liked the result I got so here it is: I love it, because I get to be a healer :-) | | Tuesday, March 21st, 2006 | | 8:01 pm |
American Idol ( read about my comments on American Idol )Otherwise, I've been pretty down recently. I feel and hurt my back Saturday night, but it's okay now. Work has been busy. I seem to have writers block on my story, sigh. That's all. | | Wednesday, March 15th, 2006 | | 9:00 pm |
More TV Shows Wow. I watched Bones tonight. I started watching it a few weeks ago, because it was on after American Idol. It was on before today, but I decided to watch it on a whim. And, WOW!!! That's the best angst and hurt/comfort I've seen on tv in forever. Oh, if only I had tivoed it. I suppose I should put it behind a ( spoiler warning )Next, my ( American Idol spoiler comments. ) | | Tuesday, March 14th, 2006 | | 10:00 pm |
American Idol Themes Week I got my cat from my mom's house today. She stayed with my mom while I was in Vegas. It's good to have her back. She is SUPER clingy now, though. Now it's time for my American Idol thoughts. ( Behind the LJ Cut ) | | Friday, March 10th, 2006 | | 2:21 am |
Made It Home Well, we made it home from Vegas. We got delayed by thunderstorms at all possible points, and it was an AWFUL ride. However, we did make it home, even if it was 2:30 AM. Must remember to never fly through Chicago.
I found out immediately upon getting back that my store was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday for Oxycontin. Everyone is okay. But, it's kinda scary. That would have been my shift if I wasn't on vacation. And, I'm worried about my poor little intern that was held up; although he said he's fine.
LadyKorona and I are playing Soul Calibur III on my PlayStation 2. It's not as enjoyable as Soul Calibur II, but still fun.
I don't ever want to return to the work wold. I think I shall enjoy working on my fanfic and playing games all week. I really don't want to face Monday when it comes. | | Tuesday, March 7th, 2006 | | 6:17 am |
Viva Las Vegas I do love this city. LadyKorona, my husband, and I are on vacation in Vegas. 3 AM is just as happening as 3 PM. Drinks are available 24-7, and no one looks at you weird when you order champagne at 10 AM. I am having fun playing the slots. I actually won $50 today. But it is more just for fun.
My husband actually let us go out to the casinos tonight on our own. I tried to talk him into coming, but he was tired. So, funny enough, we got hit on less than a minute after leaving the hotel. Have to remember to make him jealous in the morning.
Tomorrow is more fun, gambling, we're eating at Auerole (however you spell that), which looks really cool. We're also going to Ka, a Cirq performance. It should be fun. We already have eaten so many exotic things: octopus, ox tail, escargot, faus gras, and duck confit to name a few.
Please forgive any spelling errors. It is 3 AM and I have been drinking. | | Thursday, March 2nd, 2006 | | 10:55 pm |
American Idol Results Spoilers for American Idol results ( behind the LJ Cut )In other news, I'm going to take catsintheattic's advice and try to submit my story to the Restricted Section. It meets all my criteria for a good adult fanfic site. Everyone hope that they accept me. | | Wednesday, March 1st, 2006 | | 8:06 pm |
Another American Idol Post Here's my opinion about the boys on American Idol ( Behind the LJ Cut )That new show "Free Ride" is on next. I think I shall watch that. It looks funny. |
