04:01 pm - It's Friday!!
See my subject line? That, my dear friends-listers, is the most amazing and awesome news you will ever hear!*

It is now *checks watch* 4:05 in the afternoon, that means that I have 55 minutes left in the work day!** And I've already finished my important work for the day! A whole hour early!

So far, this week has ranged from blistering cold and completely snow covered on Monday to ridiculously warm (it's 60F right now, what the happy hell?) If that isn't time and the Earth herself showing preferences for Friday's over Monday's, then I don't know what is.***

Yesterday, I left work a bit early^ and I took my MIL in for a spa day. She got a "body bronze" which consisted of a whole bunch of stuff that required her to get naked under a sheet on a table for a woman she'd never met before,^^ while I got a facial. It was wonderful. It's been a year since I had one done, and I really ought to try and save up to go more often. The neck and shoulder massage that went with it went a LONG way to clearing up my headache. Guess it was partially tension induced, huh?

This morning was year 2 of "Read Across America - Dr. Seuss Day" at a local (SW Philly) school. This year I read "The Lorax" to a group of somewhat disinterested fifth graders. But, they were polite, and that's a really important thing.

Immediately after work tonight I'm heading up to PCOM for an Open House meeting. After that let's out, Magus and I will be heading over to my brother's for our weekly viewing of "Dollhouse" and BSG. AS always, there is a chance that Rock Band will commence if we are feeling rock-bandy.

Have I mentioned that I'm alone in my office today? Everyone else is somewhere else!^^^ SO the music is up nice and loud, and the lights are turned off, and the fish are being fishy. It's really a very pleasant atmosphere.

But I still can't wait to leave ;-P

*No, I don't care if that is a bald faced lie. Hyperbole's rock!
**Yes, I am highly proud of the fact that I can do basic math and tell time so well. Shut up.
***Any empirical evidence you have supporting my conclusion is greatly appreciated. Evidence to the contrary will be greeted with sporks to the eye. You have been warned.

^Mild lies may have accompanied this move.
^^She made another appointment for next month. ;-P
^^^And no, I am not jealous of the co-worker on his way to Spain, or the other co-worker on his way to a weekend music festival. Really.
