It was, in a way, the fulfillment of Harry’s one simple wish, which was to have a safe, quiet place away from the madness that had broken out all over the wizarding world. Strange how Snape was the one who had offered it to him.
The story builds slowly, with a very good plot revolving around Snape's snakes, until Harry and Snape are finally able to admit what they both want. By this time, Harry has learned quite a few things about his professor.
Snape said nothing. He was, Harry knew, the kind of man who would always say no but never said yes. Yes was in his silence ...
I very much like stories where Harry uses Parselmouth, and there are some lovely Parseltongue scenes in this story, especially here:
"Hithaasstra sstissah," Harry hissed softly, raising goosebumps on his own arms with the sound.
"Stop it," Snape snapped, but his eyes were glittering black, locked onto Harry’s; trapped. It had only taken that one small thing to capture Snape’s attention completely.
A well written, sexy story - the only complaint I have is that it ends a little suddenly. The author explains this here. (Warning: this comment does contain a spoiler for the story.)

Prompt: Snape is developing a potion so that vampires can go out in sunlight and visits the castle of a vampire clan for research. Harry is there as a fledgling who develops a fancy for him. Snape is not amused. (submitted by rons_pigwidgeon).
Poor Harry has been "turned" whilst on a lads' holiday away in Europe with Ron. (Ron has also suffered a somewhat interesting fate, but seems to be coping well.) Severus has arrived on the scene to help research a potion to help vampires, and Harry is irresistibly drawn to him. Victor Krum is on hand to help out, and the story gallops along in a very humorous vein. The writing is bitingly witty, and both Severus and Harry stay true to character, without suckumbing (hee!) (too much) to cliché fanon expectations.
I really liked Severus's solution for the only place where Harry would be safe from any danger of solar incineration (and I'd love to have heard Harry say that before he learned to control his fangs).
A nice fun story.
