Stella has written a very unusual, intensely gripping story - Snape and Harry are on a road trip, travelling in a car to an unknown destination. The writing is tight and lean, and there are vague hints that all is not as it seems. As we read on, the sense of eeriness and surreality increases, until we reach Snape and Harry’s destination, where we are left a little puzzled and unsure of quite what has happened.
I usually like to have the stories I read fully explained, and need to know what happens to Snape and Harry after becoming so involved in their fan fic journeys. However, with a good writer, I’ve come to realise that now and then a thought provoking, enigmatic ending is sometimes just as acceptable. That’s how I feel about this story, and it will be interesting to see if others agree.
