"Cambiare Podentes: Invocare" by Jordan Grant
Title: Cambiare Podentes: Invocare
Author: [info]jordangrant
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Dub con, non con (but brief, and mostly offstage), some violence, and use of drug-like substances.

This is a very long, good read. And it's first-rate fiction. There will be a sequel to this novel, eventually. But like the stories in the "Tea Series," this novel can be read on its own, since it ends at a natural breaking point in the story line. It's well-written, intelligently plotted, packed with small observations about the wizarding world, and very erotic.

It's hard to classify this story, other than to say that it's a forced bondfic. If you like SS/HP romances, I would urge you not to be put off too much by the warnings here. Although it contains dub con and (brief and mostly offstage) non con, "Cambiare Podentes: Invocare" is a love story.

It ends up in a place that most fluff lovers will be happy with, although it is also complex and nuanced in its emotions and plot. Snape and Harry both start off in a very canon IC place, and this is not a very nice Snape; one of the many strengths of the novel is how it can make the fact that they come together so compelling and believable. If you're looking for a very well-written, compellingly addictive Snarry, you'll love this.
