Comcast, I love what a poor job you do of encrypting your On Demand shows. I saw Penelope in it's entirety last night. Very cute, although the premise is entirely flawed. Christina Ricci is adorable, perhaps even better with a pig nose, and even if she wasn't, no one would run through windows to escape her. I saw someone at the grocery store with a nose the size and shape of a russet potato, and I had to be careful not to stare but there was no running or screaming. The movie had Nick Frost and Burn Gorman! And Reese Witherspoon was an awesome best friend, even if the movie just barely passed the Bechdel test. And, okay, it looks like the guy with the greasy bangs was Mr. Tumnus, although you could hardly see anything but bangs.

Okay, yes I am the n00b that still doesn't know my way around instances, but I don't like dying twice because everyone had a crazy race to the next boss. (And I was not the only one lost, it wasn't me that drew mobs back to the group). mood Peeved
Also, someone leaves their keyboard unannounced for 20 minutes and is angry that we've just started trying to get a new player in to replace them.

I love it when all the Jeopardy contestants are so adorable. The Talk Like a Pirate Day guy! The woman with mannerisms like my sister-in-law, and the champion, who I was rooting for previously, who didn't learn to drive until age 33 and cleared the bio-science category yesterday. I want them all to win equally. The last time they were all adorable was in college Jeopardy (They patted each others arms and stuff during final Jeopardy. Oh, Harvey Mudd guy.).mood Squeeing

I've been watching the end of Heroes season 1, which gave me awesome scary dreams. They're like Buffy dreams. Half the time I am Claire(/Buffy), and half the time I'm myself, trying to protect her from Sylar(etc.). Also, I found the place where Die Hard 4 slash lives on the internet. I finally saw that movie about a month ago, and they are such a slashy couple, I'm surprised I didn't run across it any sooner. *\o/*

No fuck you, radio. Sex in the City may not be my cup of tea, but seriously, you managed to report on every male-focused top grossing movie without mentioning how many women swore they wouldn't be caught dead watching it.Yes, I see the hypocrisy in my statement.

House part 2
Okay, now that that second part of House has aired. Why does Amber have no friends or family other than the people from the job she got fired from? Because she's just a prop. Why did they have to kill her just when she was becoming even more awesome? Because the awesomeness was an accidental side effect of a transition from total antagonistic bitch to sympathetic dead girlfriend. And am I nuts, or are the writers shipping House/Wilson?House part 2

House
What the fuck. Talk about women in refrigerators....House
(I liked the hallucination bits though. My prediction for the reveal was that House was a god or alien and his brain produced pretty hallucinations in a way no one else's could. That or Wilson's disease, so Scrubs could have scooped them.)

I was sort of enjoying the dogpile on that i_wank. Of course, at least one of the parties involved was likely as not underaged, so that would explain the deletion.Thursday, April 10th, 2008 @ 4:39p
