Harry pressed deeper into Snape’s arms with a long, tired sigh.
“I’m so tired of it all.”
“I know.”
“Everyone always wants something from me. Everyone’s always watching me.”
“I know.”
“I’m tired of all the fighting.”
“I know."
“I’m tired of being The *bloody* Boy Who Lived.”
“I know.”
“I’m tired of no one knowing the real me."
“I know you.”
Harry looked into Severus’ eyes and realized he did know. Harry kissed Severus gently, knowing that he alone understood the real Harry and not the brave, heroic savior he pretended to be. Somehow it made all things bearable.
