I finally started reading the comments to this post again, and came across the pancake sub-thread

I've never seen fuzzy pancakes, but I have seen fuzzy syrup. It was terrifying. I was holding the bottle upside down over my pancakes being all "why isn't this pouring" and then I turned it over to look inside and BRIGHT PINK AND BROWN MOLD EVERYWHERE AAAAAAH
