Jurisimprudence If you're not familiar with
del.icio.us, it's a social bookmarking system, ie, you get an account and post bookmarks to it, and other people can see the bookmarks. 'Tags' can be assigned to the bookmarks, and can then be used to search for bookmarks on specific subjects etc.
There's two ways to do searches by tags.
First, you can go to the page of the
account, scroll down the list of tags, and click the one you want. If you want to search for another tag
within that list, scroll down the 'related tag' list and click the plus sign next to the one you want.
Or, you can use a url such as
http://del.icio.us/jurisimprudence/lord.of.the.rings to search for entries with the lord.of.the.rings tag. For multiple tags, such as lord.of.the.rings and movies, it would look like this:
http://del.icio.us/jurisimprudence/lord.of.the.rings+movies which can be quicker if you're certain what the tags you want are.
Tag system I'm using:Every word in the title, including 'law,' 'rule,' etc., but
excluding 'a,' 'the,' 'of,' and so on.
The name of the author of the law.
If there's a post linked to in the JI post, the tag _link, the originating comm/board, the name of the fandom/whatever, and names anyone mentioned as being heavily involved.
Fandom names are in the form Harry.Potter or Full.Metal.Alchemist or whatever.
Any other tags that seem especially relevant or unique to me. For example, which entries involve punishments of being
beaten with something? Where's that law that mentions
Rhesus monkeys? Which ones mention
mods? Etc.
Different forms of words, closely related words, etc., may be used and might give different results. Compare:
accusation,
accusational, and
accuse. Always a good idea to check nearby/similar words, too, if you don't find what you're looking for at first.
Special tags:
inversely
directly
proportional
_link (for posts that link back to whatever inspired it)
corollary (for posts with corollaries, or that are corollaries)
_prescriptive _descriptive and _neither/either which aren't in the earlier entries yet because it only occured me after I'd gotten through half the alphabet. (Mostly so that when I'm finished I can look at the number of prescriptive vs descriptive laws.)
