I also made creme fraiche for the potatoes gratin dauphinois which was made on Christmas. They were delicious but so much prep work!
Friday we had a simple roast dinner and I spent the day watching Holiday specials and movies: Stephen Colbert, "A Muppet Christmas Carol," "White Christmas," and "It's a Wonderful Life." Brother went over to T's family Christmas Eve dinner, which was a big deal because it was with her Vietnamese side of the family and it was the first time he was invited to a big family get-together in five years. They gave us some Vietnamese egg rolls (they don't really have egg filling, but pork, rice noodles, and carrots and some sort of lentil I think)and some chili sauce earlier that day, so that was lunch for two days. If you have never had them, you should.
Bro came back and showed us his friend's house. His father is one of those guys that syncs lights to music.
Actual Christmas was mellow. The Lakers lost, but at least the Celtics also lost. I got a NOOK, computer components, cloths, and a herb garden kit. I'm debating going to exchange the NOOK for a NOOK Color or get a Kindle instead.
Does anyone have any strong opinions regarding which is better: NOOK or Kindle?
