She pulled free before he could get his teeth on her, and took the crane position, which she thought appropriate for an opponent of such height. The creature advanced, and Elizabeth landed a devastating chop across its thighs. The limbs broke off, and the unmentionable fell to the ground, helpless. She retrieved her dagger and beheaded the last of her opponents, lifting its head by the hair and letting her battle cry be known for a mile in every direction.

Elizabeth found herself within view of the house, with weary ankles, dirty stockings, and a face glowing with the warmth of exercise.

I finally picked up a copy of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. So technically, I am reading Jane Austen for the second time. TECHNICALLY.

I lit off two mortor fireworks last night. The big ones that blast pretty big. They're actually legal here.

My cousin's son is the most adorable kid who I have ever known. I think he has a crush on me because he kept showing me his rock collection and stuff. Pics will come when I get home.

I'm in South Carolina and I haven't been on the comp in 3 days (lol withdrawl). We're going to Columbia tonight and Sunday, I believe I'll be headed to Myrtle beach.

I'm just writing this to let everyone know I'm still alive. And to see who else is on the f-list has survived so far. IF YOU ARE ALIVE, PLEASE COMMENT SO I KNOW YOU'RE NOT A ZOMBIE, OK?

It's really a good thing that I got out of the city when I did. They seem to have been hit by the zombie apocalypse the hardest. The media is calling it Z DAY but I think that's quite tasteless to put a spin on it and give it a catchy name. Out here, we have a bit more time to prepare. The closest cemetery is a little bit away, so we think they're concentrated there for now. We've seen a couple zombies eating a racoon outside, but so far the end of the world has been quite boring here. Are animals supposed to rise when they've been bitten by the undead? I haven't heard anything on the news about that.

I don't even want to think about what it would like to be in China right now. The t.v. stations went out a little bit ago, but we have the radio on to NPR for the emergency broadcast.

I just keep thinking that I'm lucky to be alive and out of L.A. Well, for now. I..I just can't believe that we're all going to die.

Our pantry is pretty well stocked, but between the four of us and the animals, we don't know how long it'll last. We've been trying to decide if we'll just let the dog and the cat out to fend for themselves or keep them around for when we run short, but I don't think I can eat my dog.

We have a bunch of kitchen knives and some tools. My dad has some bullets for his gun, but he's lost the key to get the guard off the gun. I have my shinai and my boken and there's a metal bat someplace but I don't know where.

We're going to make a break for it sometime tonight to get to Canada. My brother and I have been watching zombie movies all day. I know it's in poor taste, but we're writing down tips. We dled the handbook online. What I wouldn't give for a machete or a flamethrower.

Here's hoping we all survive. Pray for us.

ETA: I just heard they got Rick Warren and the whole congregation of Saddleback! OH GOD! THEY ARE CLOSER THAN WE THOUGHT! D:

ETA2: 9:00 PM PST - Heard some scratching on the door about fifteen minutes ago. Scratching went on for five minutes then went away. We had dogs mouth taped shut earlier today, thinking she may bark and alert them to our presence, but she's mainly been whimpering and huddling near me like she's protecting me, eyeing the door. Poor puppy. I think there maybe more outside now...

Grandpa is in the hospital with pneumonia. Here's hoping he's going to be better before we go to visit.

So, anyone from South Carolina and can tell me things I can do there? I'm going to be in Lexington most of the time, but we may be going to Charleston for a day. We finally got the plane tickets so I'll be going in early july.

Packing up everything I own today to go back home for summertime. Oh dear god! How did I get so much stuff? D:


Anyone else watching Shikabane Hime (Corpse Princess)? It's actually quite good considering I've been pretty bleh towards most of the newer series that are coming out. However, I've always been pretty weak towards horror series and I eat them up like coffee and cakes.


Oh, and I will be visiting South Carolina for a week at the beginning of July. My grandpa's birthday is the fourth so I will finally get to see him again! \o/

Well, there doesn't appear to be much we can do about that guy I mentioned in my last post since he's a private owner and not a complex.


On a brighter note, I've been having tons of fun on spring break: shopping with mom and going to the Norton Simon with my friends (they have cheap art books there!). And I just bought tickets to go see Depeche Mode in August!~

Also, I have a cold and am in midterm hell. I was doing a project in this one class but got stuck with all the work so it's thrown off my grades in my major classes. Hopefully I can get back on track but that's why I haven't been on ye olde jf much. Aside from my vampire crack rp obsession.

Oh, and I'm in a full scale depression, since I've hit the third week bench mark.

School started yesterday. I'm taking back to back, Monday and Wednesday, advanced life painting, watercolor, and concentrated life drawing. That's nine hours of art in a row with an hour long break for lunch. All my teachers seem to be amazing, but really demanding. Obviously, this is part of my secret plan to make myself go insane and or die from work exhaustion, but the load for the last class seems to be not as bad as I thought except for around midterm and finals. Other than that, I have a femminism and globalization course, so I think I'll be alright. Just don't expect to see me on Mondays or Wednesdays for the rest of the semester.

So, it seems that D. Gray Man will be back in April because Hoshino Katsura has a wrist injury. Damn it.

This of course means it'll take even longer for the the anime to be resumed.

ETA: I have been informed that this song is mainly about Obama, Japan, but not all of it is.

Stuck DVD-R drive makes Rin want to smash things. Especially since I don't remember what I put in there last.

No, not Gene Wilder, but it would be cool to raise him from the dead. Also, not ginger, not matter what 10 wants. It would also taint the Rose/Doctor shippers along with the "OMG HE'S TOO YOUNG" thing. I mean, one of the main themes in the book is about him and his rose.

The last link is my favorite because the kid is adorable and from the French musical. Also concerns the scene with the fox.

Her name is Syphillis James and I'll have pictures once I can get back to see the little rat. My roomie, R, wants to keep with a diesease theme if she ever gets her a cage mate so the next one is likely to be Clymidia and I convinced her to keep with a Maurader theme for middle names so in the future we are likely to have "Clymidia Moon" or "Clymidia Moonie." Her parents will be hippies, of course.

I actually approve of this new Dr. Who (FOR NOW), but his hair bugs me.
