Stuff which happened over the last few days

1. I bought the Last Unicorn on DVD for about 7 bucks!

2. I stealth dyed my hair dark auburn around 2 a.m. Saturday night to shock my parents the following morning.

3. I'm having fun moding in my rp. I've gotten to kidnap all the characters on a forced field trip to a Scooby Doo location, then made them all room with each other in random rooming assignments (well, not so random as the players got to agree or let me know if they wanted to be moved or not). They're also going to get stranded there when the ferry is delayed by bad storms at sea...for about a month or so. Until we get bored. My scene girl scientist stalker is going to be rooming with the nudist dark pagan asshole boy. My art student pathological liar boy will be rooming with both the goody-two-shoes nervous nellie and the gay wish-he-was-as-bad-of-a-bully-as-my-character-is (until my character fakes his death to get back with his girlfriend..OHHOHOHO). Oh, and Art Boy and Gay Boy hate each other. Poor Goody-Two-Shoes. So do Science Girl and Dark Pagan Boy. Just wait until she has to try and get his help when she starts actually believing in those ghosts...which he is helping Art Boy prank people with. This should be fun.

4. Finally scheduled a job interview with a temp agency ~~for tomorrow~~ (forgot about my dad's MRI so it's reschedualed for Wenseday). YAY for short term employment at a decent wage!

Apartment hunting has been a success! We found a nice place that is a house that was added onto to have apartments. It's a little pricy, but the only utilities we'd have to worry about would be electric, cable, and internet. It's furnished, has fans in every room and an electric heating system. We won't have to pay extra to get a cat and it's a couple blocks from this:

So, all we gotta do is put our applications through, but it seems like we may get it!

A life-size bronze statue was sculpted by Jules Dalou to mark his grave, portrayed in a realistic style as though he had just fallen on the street, dropping his hat which is depicted beside him. The sculpture has a very noticeable protuberance in Noir's trousers. This has made it one of the most popular memorials for women to visit in the famous cemetery. Myth says that placing a flower in the upturned top hat after kissing the statue on the lips and rubbing its genital area will enhance fertility, bring a blissful sex life, or, in some versions, a husband within the year. As a result of the legend, those particular components of the tarnished bronze statue are rather well-worn. Some visitors have seen women hike up their skirts and mount the statue as if mating.

In 2005 a fence was erected around the statue of Noir, to deter people from touching the statue. Due to the protests of the female population of Paris however, it was torn down again.

I registered for three classes today: Advanced Life Drawing, Advanced Life Painting (both are back to back with my favorite teacher! "You're going to suffer but be happy" seems to be my life motto), and Comic Spirit in the Comparative World Lit department (unfortunately not with the teacher I had before for Folklore and Myth). I need one more class and I'll probably do a P.E. (either yoga or a dance class). What do you think, f-list?

Walking home from class today, I came across a little brown sparrow. By little, it was easily nestled in the palm of my hand. By across, it was in the middle of a walkway, SLEEPING. Where people were frequenting. Where it shouldn't be. I thought it was a piece of trash first but when I got closer, I saw it was feathered. I thought it was dead, so I looked closer and it was still alive. I poked it gently and it hopped but went back to sleep.

I was freaking out. I was worried that it was injured or sick. D: Poor birdy! I picked it up and tried to call my parents to find out what to do to help it. It was so little (like a baby). I had this little birdy in my hand, nestled up and sleeping while I tried to walk back to my dorm. Yes, I know, I could get all sorts of diseases. My parents were telling me to leave it. But I couldn't do that. So they told me to call the humane society, but said they weren't going to care.

But then, Bird decided to wake up and it flew! Huzzah! I guess it was just resting. :D

It flew a little ways and fell back asleep in the grass. I tried to give it water, but then it got up and flew into the pushes like the normal birds around here. I think it'll be fine.

Going home for spring break now! I did wash my hands as soon as I was back and I threw the water bottle away. I wish I had gotten a picture.

I've gotten my second to last pay check (still one more is coming, even though it is small)! And I actually have a small surplus for this semester, but I'm still saving my money like the penny pincher I am. But, I'm pre-excited for Ren-Faire, because I can actually afford a new bodice. Gosh, the one I have is so old that I wore it in high-school and the girls have stretched it out. Plus its Cordoroy (I didn't know better at the time!).

I would like to buy it at Faire but I always feel so strange when people hawk things to me (although I know half the fun is trying on bodices and people being in character). I really wish I had time to sew at school (I've made three costumes-I'm not super good, but I can at least follow a pattern). Now, my friend's sister gave her a whole stash of old costumes so I should be able to borrow some of her clothes until I can buy my own when I get there, but there is quite a difference between our body shape so I think I'll purchase at least the bodice online.

By the way, I got my bodice when I was 14. My dad was with me and super skeeved out by the guy who was helping me. I was a bit smaller and weighed less then.
