They made
an American version of
Death at a Funeral. I really enjoyed the dry humor of the original and I was initially ambiguous at first about the remake, but the trailer makes it seem like it'll be a pretty good movie. They have the original actor for the dwarf and the cast looks good ( Zoe Saldana, Luke Wilson and Chris Rock).
I saw
Clash of the Titans yesterday an it was pretty much what I expected: straight forward action movie with CGI and little to no plot so no thinking involved. It isn't something I would go to, but it was my brother's b-day. For me, it dragged. So, I'd say wait until it comes out on DVD if you want to see it.
( Spoiler )I finally got the oppurtunity to catch up on comics this week. My brother buys some titles so we switch every once in a while and he reads the ones I buy. So I caught up on
Batman,
Batman & Robin,
Red Robin and
Deadpool, in edition to reading
Batman: Under the Hood, which the new DC Batman DVD movie is based on. They had an advertisement for
New Mutants #9 in one of the
Deadpool issues and I can't figure out what's going on with this woman's torso. Its like her hips are dislocated or she has no stomach. Foreshortening fail.
( New Mutants #9 )Started reading
Stardust, but it doesn't seem like I'll have time to finish it until May. I have the student B.F.A. show to worry about so this month will be HELL Mont for me starting tomorrow.
ETA: WOAH. Easter earthquake. 6.9 and I didn't even get out of my computer chair. It felt a bit like being in a Jello-O mold.
