Potential Good/Bad News: "The Advocate" twitter feed is telling me that the Prop. 8 ruling maybe tonight in 14 MINUTES (6 p.m. PST)! YIKES!

False alarm. Thanks for messing with my emotions, internet. >:(

Fucking Meg Whitman got the Republican governor nomination for California. She's anti-immigrant, anti-gay marriage. She says "pro-civil union," says she'll recognize gay marriages post Prop. 8, but is on the "marriage between a man and a woman" team. She also had a t.v. commercial which was basically a smear campaign against another politician which focused mainly on his pro-choice stance.

On the bright side, Gavin Newsom got the Democratic Lt. Governor nomination. I'm pretty sure that the Governor and Lt. Governor positions are elected independantly of each other so it would be really, really strange if Whitman and Newsom both one. Jerry Brown is the Democratic Governor nominee.
