How I started out my Monday morning in my lecture hall class:
Professor: *making a point about rum in relation to Pirates of the Caribbean, pulls a bottle of rum out of his bag* Can one of you two young ladies verify that this is Demon Rum?
Me: Um...Ok. *goes up stage and unscrews the bottle*
Prof: *thinking I'm going to take a sniff*
Me: *interpreted "verify" as SWIG and inhales a good eighth-sixth of the bottle* :D
Class and Prof: O_O
Me: It's rum. 8D
Class: *bursts out laughing*
Shannon (friend sitting next to me): OMG you should have seen his face!
Me: I wasn't supposed to?
Prof: *lectures on the history of hemp and rum, later takes a swig, and admits that I upstaged him*
